So I get these SEO mails...

I'm getting quite a few emails about how my site isn't ranking in Google for keywords and so on and offering me services... I'm pretty much brand new to the SEO side of things I've had sites over 3 years now but they have all run through Facebook and they are simply funny picture sites. They get traffic from my pages ( 2.4mill , 1.1mill, 800k pages Etc. ) So now im looking into either hiring someone or going it alone? I've got 'No Hands SEO' at the minute just the trial. So what I'm asking is:

• Do I hire someone to do SEO for me or attempt it myself?
• how much damage can I do if attempting it myself and going wrong?
• If you do think I should do it myself what tools/methods should I use. ( site makes money through adsense)

Trial and error. Only thing you should pay for is backlinks imo. Just because they are tedious to do yourself, feel free to disagree.

Before hiring anybody it is useful to actually know the process involved in ranking a site.
If you don't know what you are doing, you can cause damage to your site and as you have adsense don't use any black hat tricks.
Read as much about SEO on this forum and check google for any terms you don't know, then start a brand new site/blog (not one of your current sites) and try to get it ranked, this should give you some experience.
Check the BST section and read the reviews.

- you will learn more if you do it yourself and also save money but it might take a long time. however if you hire someone with experience then they should be able to get the job done for you quicker than you doing it yourself

- you can get your site deindexed by google. you have to know what you are doing if you plan to use SEO tools, but doing it all manually it is very hard to get many punishments

- the best tools at the moment are GSA, UD, Magic sumitter, senuke, but only use them if you have an seo strategy, don't use them if you just plan on turning them on and hoping your site will reach page 1.

if you are earning money from your current method and you are satisfied with it then do not change a thing

Cheers guys! yeah thats what my plan is at the min to have a go myself ive been reading quite a lot so just need to learn more! set up a little niche site and just see what happens really.
