I am completely new to the whole pp world. I have a negative balance on my pp and i was wondering if i should pay it or not. The acc is under false info of course. I was just wondering if they would ever consider chasing someone after IP address or such extreme methods. Or do they got better things to do?

I would pay it, there is plenty of decent money making ideas you could use, and accept paypal for, so its worth having an account like that handy.
why should he do that? he can open unlimited acc with fake info or even a real one
i'd say hes safe, no real info, no bank account, no cc linked to the acc
paypal can take a hike

if you have money simple pay if you are broke don't bother even if they chase you, are already broke so what they can do is nothing!

they chase in rare cases, if you are having bad times chances are they will get to you eventually.

just kidding man! do not worry all is well they don't care, too busy to scam people and
they already had covered your -balance from someone else account.

Thanks for your reply. That is exactly what i was thinking. I can make another one if i need it. Which i probably won't. There is no real info what so ever attached to the acc. I was just a little worried they might chase me by internet/comp trails. Would they ever consider of doing that?

well, you can never be sure of course
but ask yourself these questions: how much do i owe them? does it worth to them to trace me?
chances that they won't do it anyway

on the other hand adding this to my above post:
i'd take paying into consideration, if it was my fault, but if it was one of their bs reasons which is the case most of the time, i wouldn't give them a dime

Well it would definitely be worthless for them to chase me over such an amount. It was actually their fault. That is i don't want to pay it. As far as i heard don't they just report it to some debt collecting company and leave it up to them to recover the funds from the person?

Also would it be possible to operate a pp acc and be completely pp un-tracable?

They WILL chase you. Money means everything to these people.

false info on everything.... can you tell me how they will chase me? From what i know debt collection agencies buy these debts for a penny to the dollar and now its their problem.

If it was a stealth account they can not chase you simple.
Just dont use the same ip address on any future accounts and clear all the cookies from your pc.
And dont ever log back into that pp account.

Honestly, I would not be too concerned about it. Its your money, why pay them right? Specially since its a stealth account. I doubt they'll go as far as IP address to track you down.

I can speak from experience in paypal tracking you down. They act all tough and scary. but they aint shit really.

I was selling digital goods years ago on ebay. before having tracking numbers was such a big deal and so many scam artists on there.

anywho, i sold in game items for an MMORPG on ebay, was paid via paypal, and made bank. least in my mind i did, being i was only 15 and was making as much then while in school, playing sports, homework, and hanging out with friends as i do now working 60 hours a week. god i miss those days, paid to play games. ah...twas the life lol.

anywho...since i sold digital goods, transferred in game, there was no shipping. because i didnt ship anything, i have no tracking. no tracking means no proof of delivery. welp...one of these gamers got smart on me and decided they were gonna report me for never delivering. they opened up a claim with paypal. paypal asked me for proof of shipping. since it was online, i had nothing. at this time, it wasnt against ebays TOS to sell digital goods. but for some freakin reason, it was against paypals TOS. the rep i spoke to said that ALL purchase transactions are to be for physical goods, and that the seller is required to provide proof of shipment if requested to do so.

obviously, i couldnt prove jack to paypal. and it was a buyers market. paypal ALWAYS favored the buyer. i lost the claim. $2,000 worth of chargebacks. They drained my paypal account, taking away $1300 straight up. that was all i had in the account at the time. What was strange, they attempted to obtain the remaining funds via the back account linked to the paypal account. thankfully my back account say that as strange, and put a hold on that transaction until i could confirm it. which i told the bank hell no, dont give them a penny. and they didnt.

Paypal still wants their money from me. but they shall never get it. they have threatened to take me to court over it. i have since then opened up 3 new paypal accounts, new banks in new cities. the first bank account was same name same city, only a few months later. of course they froze this account, and took all the money from it. i was careful and drained this account as much as possible. they only got maybe $100 from me on this account. second time i used a family member's account. not sure how they linked this one to me, besides last name. different computer, different house, different ip address, different ebay account. everything was different, but they linked it to me. froze the account, took over a month to get the funds out. they shut this account down. only thing i was allowed to do is deposit the money in the linked back account. couldnt send or receive payments of any sorts. the third account was a few years later, under my name and in a different town. same thing as account two, but not much money was in it that time.

point of this is, they have been chasing me down for 8 years now. and they wont get anything more from me either! i refuse to pay them. i've gotten letters from them saying to pay it. they constantly called me, non stop, at the most inconvenient hours, telling me i owe them $XXX.XX and if i dont pay it they'll sue me. i got letters from collection agencies. and i got notices of paypal bringing up charges against me. somehow they happened to obtain a few of my numbers, and some of my previous addresses as well. calling and mailing me.

but i'm still fine. 8 years and going. if it got serious, i would fight them on the fact that they allowed a minor use their site. but it hasnt come to that yet. and i do not plan on giving them a penny more of my money. screw paypal.

so in summary, i'd say you'll be fine. stealth account, i really doubt they'll do much to track down the real you. if you're paranoid bout it, or believe in karma, then it may be best to pay it off if you can afford to do so. if you were me, i'd tell paypal to go to hell and give them the finger as you smile at them. maybe send them a picture of your new account with some other site and write a nice and loving letter about how much better this other company is compared to how much paypal sucks. but thats just me.

disclaimer:
i do not claim to be a lawyer and the above is NOT legal advise. They are opinions, not facts, based on my thoughts and biased feelings towards paypal. Do not take my words as legal advice, and seek professional council from a registered law practitioner if you feel the need for legal advice. and above all else, screw paypal!

Bro, they don't have to care for the pennies. All they have to do is to give it to the POLICE, and THEY will chase you.

These is some truth behind this. When it comes to this, as long as its only you owe them money and not a high dollar amount in the thousands, i think it'd fall under collections and not criminal. kinda like medical bills, dental bills, and such.

now if it gets into the stealth account, fake info, and all that then the law could get involved. of course, this is going to depend on your local laws.

i'm a little confused on what you're asking. perhaps i made a typo in my text. if i did, i apologize. its been a long day and i'm not proof reading my posts before hitting submit.

just to clarify, the chargebacks to my account was two-thousand USD. my account had roughly one-thousand and three hundred USD in the account at the time. Paypal seized all of that, and i never saw it again. According to paypal, to this date i still owe them seven hundred dollars and some change. the exact number i do not remember, was not a highlight for my life and at the time they did have me pretty freaked out. 715 and some pennies, give or take.

the money they took from my first account AFTER they took my money was NOT credited towards this debt that i owed them. not fair, and total bull, but thats how they played it. they closed that account claiming fraud or some bs and shut it down.

take it or leave it. if you don't want to believe it, then take it as a good piece of fiction. if you do believe it, great. sorry, i can no longer provide screen shots of the entire incident. that compute died out many years ago. and i'm sorry, i cannot upload any scanned documents of the letters that paypal mailed me. i made sure to destroy them, hoping to deny knowledge of any of it. though i will be sure that the next time paypal finds me and sends me another letter, first thing i will do is go and scan it and upload it here so that you can see some sort of proof.

yes, i get that was a long post and a lot of reading. if you want to take it as complete bs, be my guest. all i am trying to do is help the OP with the question that he asked about and offer my advise from my personal experience. if you would like to bash me, please start your own thread to do so and not distract the point of this thread.

Make an action movie out of this making PayPal look like the mob or something. PayPal car chases with guns and shit. Hunting you down for a few hundred. It would be a great metaphor of what PayPal does.
