Yesterday I was talking to this childhood friend of mine, and his father is a CEO at a large international company. I was offering him money so that he would bring his father to me. A referral.
Then later he told me that his father is a little bit interested in what I am offering, but he was not exactly sure if he should trust me or not.
1. My company is young, like a day old.
2. I don't have a portfolio of previous work.
Last night I was scheming of ways to build trust with him. I was so excited. I would perhaps offer him a free "sample", even though I would have to take a loan.
Aaaand then....
today my friend told me his dad can't do it, since his dad is only the CEO of the local branch of the company.
Fuck my life. The whole thing fell through. 20k right out of my hands. Last night, when I went to bed, I thought I had really made it in IM...
