So can I actually use Scrapebox alone for SEO in 2018?

i am just about to invest in scrapebox and get into seo. I started work on seo a few years back and left it to focus on trading cryptocurrencies but now that the market is extremely idle, i want to start teaching and creating tutorials for trading and i need to pick back up on my seo skills.

i have seen numerous threads about how you should not use scrapebox for tier 1 links but i dont understand why this is so. for example scrapebox seems to scrape web 2.0 links as well and the key advantage i hear about rankerx is about its web2.0 profile. why cant scrapebox be used to accomplish the same thing?

i am just curious because i really would like to use one tool and perfect myself on it before moving to another and scrapebox seems like the most efficient out of all (between SB, gsa ser, rankerx, rankwyzer, etc)

please advise. i just want to know if i can use this to create tier 1 links that would help my ranking. if so, how can i proceed? any resources on this particular method?

It depends on what you want to do.

For building links, no don't use it, it'll destroy your site.

But for other stuff which involves scraping data, it's a great tool. There really isn't a generic answer.

If you don't know why you need it, then you probably don't.

i stated why i need it in the title which is for seo. i know i can accomplish a lot wit scraping but i posed my question specifically for seo. i just see a lot of messages like yours saying you shouldnt use it to build links but i dont understand why. i thought link building had to do with the quality of sites you link from. so if you can filter that through scrapebox and get high quality web 2.0 sites to build links from, why should this be an issue? this is what im really trying to understand

Scrapebox is your tool to scrape, search in depth and less for posting.
The commenting/trackbacking is only a small part of it's capabilities. In the days most used that as it was easy to rank using that.
But if you look at it's features and if you start to mix them you get a huge number of things that you can do.
Both so called blackhat and whitehap SEOers use it.
You can scrape for:
- expired web2.0's (it is pretty decent but the availability checker is not good for tumblr for example)
- even pbns
- guest posts opportunities
- on-page / off-page research

On the other hand rankerx is for posting on web2.0's.

For scrapebox you can check loopline videos. You should make an idea of scrapebox capabilities.

Scrapebox can't build links from web 2.0s, they can only build links from blog comments, which are mostly spammy and no follow.

Yes I'm talking about SEO. But SEO is a bunch of things these days, more like a complex process, not something you just do, it's a bunch of things you do.

Let me put it in real simple terms: if you could rank a site using a $ 100 tool then Huffpo, eBay, Amazon and friends would not invest billions of U$.

You can't just "do SEO" with one tool. You may use this tool for some tasks though, which is where you need to be specific.

Again if you don't know what to do with it, then you don't need it. No you won't rank your site blasting links with SB in 2018.

Is it still good for other things like Finding b2b leads and stuff of that nature?
