I'm at 23K now, noticed that I now i get 300 followers a day after following 1000 users, it used to be just 200. I wonder how it's like when it's at 50k already. Does it start happening at 50k? What's your experience?

As poster above noted, many factors are involved.

I have accs that, when reached 50k, maintained the same levels of growth they had when in 30k, 20k, 10k, etc...

usually, the more followers you have, the bigger the growth, since more people share you content and more people get to see it.

but there are also speculations that Instagram limits the growth of big accounts (they are controlled by facebook at the end of the day).

i personally think you'll see bigger growth with 50k followers.
