Sneaky Facebook Ad Question

I always get an ad those shows up from a Facebook page, it's about a celebrity. The celebrity did something outrageous and when you click on it, it's a "fake" article page made to look like a popular site. The page then has links in it to a product. The ones I see are done very well. The first time I saw it, I thought it was legit, then my black hat senses started tingling.

Now I know this technique is nothing new. Click bait ideas like this have been around forever. I want to do something similar, however, do I run a risk of getting banned from Facebook for doing something like that? I can't afford to have my account banned because I represent several companies on it. If you publish an ad that facebook doesn't like, do they just cancel the ad, or will they ban/suspend your account?

Just looking to see what my options are.

Those type of ads will definitely get your account banned if caught by FB.

They don't care if you have a monthly budget of $100k. If you break rules, it's hard to get accounts back - even with legit accounts.

I haven't seen FB ever ban without warning unless content was posted that was obviously malicious.

These articles you are talking about are constantly promoted through content ad / taboola and similar networks and since a lot of large sites use those blogs and constantly run ads , why would FB ban you here?

You can always just use another FB account if you are worried.

Fb will first block the ads campaign and if you keep doing the same shit , fb will ban your account in the 2nd attempt!

Facebook is not going to approve any ads that violate their ads policy and repetitive try may cause account ban.

You mean advertorial pages. FTC has guidelines on them. Check them before you run yourself into trouble doing it.

Have you ever gotten a warning? I read through the TOS on ads, and I don't really see anything that says this is wrong. It's kind of up to how they interpret things. It could be viewed as a satire piece "sometihng like the onion" but it has product links in the actual story page. Which tons of sites do. I know I'm just talking myself into doing this, but I don't see how it's against the TOS, but I don't want to get my account banned either, b/c I have clients on it.
