Do you like snakes and do you have one as a pet, show is your snakes?

This thread right now.

I have a leopard cinnamon ball python.

Here's a picture of him sitting in his little grassy planter.

Ehhh, are you worried that the snake will get out of the glass display or whatever you hold the animal in? There is something about snakes I think we are all trained not to like [I know you know the phobia name], but you have to feed it mice, if I am correct?

I used to breed ball python morphs from 2011-2016 until the market got super saturated and $3600 snakes became $150 snakes. Sold out.

The only way to stay ahead in that industry is to order barrels of ball pythons from Africa and hope you can hit on some unseen recessive genetic mutation. Too much speculation for me.

I don’t keep any reptiles anymore and I’m happy with it. Breeding rats and reptile husbandry is too much of a chore to me after years of it.

I think they are very cool and interesting, but I will only watch them from 10+ feet away. They scare me.

No, I'm never worried about him getting out. He's a very friendly snake and I take him out once a week just so he can sit on the back of my neck (he likes the warmth). He seems content staying in his terrarium, moving from his hot hide to cold hide, or sitting in his planter on occasion.

I'm not sure, I've always liked snakes. Before my ball python, I had 2 garter snakes at various points in time, and I've never been scared to handle them.

He used to eat mice, but he eats rats now.

Before you ask, he doesn't eat them live, I just have some frozen rats that I keep in my freezer and thaw out the day I need to feed him.

They come in these boxes, so it's not like you open my freezer and see dead rats falling out.
