Hi, trying to figure out where I'm supposed to head to if I want to get SMTP servers with self hosted software; or to get a service like Mailchimp that does not charge me a fortune and allows "cold mail", can anyone please give me a recommendation /vendors please say hi so I can actually find chu... For I had seek long and far for ya. Pika?

P.S: Cold mail in millions, all validated.

Very few autoresponder services will be happy with what you got. That's the truth.

You're going to end up running from one service to the next, getting banned sooner or later.

Your best chance is to set up your own SMTP. Can you tell us what niche you're targeting?

The spammier the niche, the less option you will have. Financial services niches have a much weaker chance of inboxing due to spam words in the email text.

Thanks for the tip! But I am not doing any financial services niche, I'm planning to go more into those weight loss, maybe porn, start-up advertising kind of niches. If possible may I have your recommendations please? Thanks!

I got my own SMTP which takes about 1-3 weeks to warm up depending on how intense the warm-up is. If you run cold weight loss and porn traffic then you need a very liberal autoresponder/API. I recommend setting up your own SMTP and warm up several domains and IPs as they'll get blacklisted sooner or later. Yahoo or Gmail may not immediately blacklist your emails but hold them until your sending reputation gets better again.

Let me know your questions. Happy to answer.

My idea is to find every single product in any niche (I scrapped those affiliate sites) that is considered good at the standard norm and spam them to different emails, so I can actually build "purchaser" lists instead of subscribers... :P

Btw, can you elaborate on the autoresponder part? I've Googled (that's why I only replied like now..) and basically gathered that it's an automated response upon receiving an email. But uhm, my lists are scrapped.. do you mean I trigger the autoresponder somehow to "respond" to the emails? Second thing is that can you please recommend me a provider that will allocate IPs? I had tried several hosting companies (non-EIG hostings) and they won't give any unless I have a specific reason for them.

You need to put some more strategy to work in order to see results in email marketing.

You need to validate your email list prior to sending or you risk having a very high bounce rate which will most certainly get your account(s) suspended.

You can make it work. But you need a cleaned list and a very tolerant autoresponder aka ESPS.

The biggest issues I have seen are associated with the CONTENT I'm sending. Some autoresponders are more tolerant and will let you import data and others less tolerant.

Mailgun or Amazon SES may work for you depending on your niche.

Alternatively, you could work on setting up your own SMTP which requires more know-how and patience than anything else.

They would have been good if they weren't so anal about the total contacts imported, I gonna get them after the initial phrase is over for their software support :P. no idea why people are actually charging for the number of contacts imported. I can name at least 20 companies that will thank you for importing all your mails.

Yeah I agree, going to hop into the tutorial and freebies section after this to look up some stuff. I realized there is simply too much that changed since 2011. Damn it, should have sticked to the SEM industry.

Get a vps and send mass emails on your own. Change port to avoid mass email activity. Just want to share my realtime clicks and sending mass emails using vps.
