SMTP on VPS

Looking for a bit of wisdom from those who know their internet protocols.

I setup my VPS to me an SMTP. Did a test e-mail using a FROM address from a temp e-mail and a TO e-mail that was mine.
It works fine. I'm worried about getting my server blacklisted though; I don't plan on sending MILLIONS of e-mails a day so if i get blacklisted it would be extremely depressing and stupid.

So, what should i use as a sending e-mail? Does my server(Windows Sever 2008 [Which is now an SMTP sever]) have and host a domain i can use? Would that be wise to use?
I'm surprise the temp e-mail worked, but as the name implies, i don't think it will keep working ones it's thrashed by the individual who manages it.
I know yahoo, g-mail and the big e-mail providers limit how many e-mails you can out in a day; do they count outgoing e-mails if you're using an SMTP?

That's really my main concern. Would rather be sure before i start using my server.

Here's my second question: I have 50 private proxies opened for mailing.
How can i use them in a rotating fashion with my SMTP sever? Windows Sever 2008 didn't have an option when i was setting up SMTP. The bulk e-mail software i have does have the option to use them though, should i do that or just have all my traffic go through the proxies?

I think using the proxies would help my chances from getting blacklisted.

Thanks

if you are using a smtp server with a bulk email sender then the outgoing emails will be counted only by your smtp server. its much much better to use proxies or you can buy directly smtp.

use smtp server.. smtp2go.com is quite good.. check it out..

instead of setup your own use third party like SES,mailchimp.sendgrid etc alot more those are reliable and affordable as well no worries for blacklisted too and no manage needing ;)

Going to give it a go with the proxies.

What should i use as my sender e-mail though? I made a temp email with Hush and it got closed almost immediately. Here's the thing though, i was still able to send e-mails.
I read the header and that very same e-mail address still showed as the sender.

Does that mean i can leave it blank or BS a non-existent e-mail?

You can spoof any "from:" field on smtp. Lots of people do this, ex. you're pushing a dating offer and so for the from field you put the name of the dating company so the person thinks it's official mail from that company. You could obviously do this with anything, but the sender name doesn't matter at all. I don't even think if factors into any kind of inboxing parameters so just go with something you want to.

Spoofing is not a good idea, your spf will fail and the result is spambox.

if you do this your email will go to spam box.Make sure the spf is pass.
