I had a budget of 120 for this project , but since linuxsmtp took 60 and did not do the job, nor did he refund me I am left with 60. but to avoid getting 2 failures in this project I will only give after project is completed successfully.

After a terrible experience first week, Linuxsmtp have contacted me again today, and he apologized cause he was sick, and he finished the job. So I am satisfied now. But I urge people offering their services here to communicate with clients and refund money if the job can not be completed to keep BHW a safe place to meet programmers.

Again as said in many other posts of mine, i am reiterating again!
but its very important to note that there are some other factors which have an effect on inbxing including but not limited to:
1. email list quality
2. emailing style
3. email body
4. SPAM score
and various other parameters!
Inbox rate as such can not be generalised and depends on the set up, if everything its perfect , you can expect inbox rate upto 95% +
As a matter of fact, even google isn't able to inbox its own emails in gmail, so nothing is fool proof but yes, it can be analysed and tamed!

If mail server is well configured according to all ESPs requirement then its reallyup to your list and way of mailing.. Mailing server configuration is easy to do but its hard to manage mail servers ( Ips reputation with ESPs )
- manage unsubscribers
- manage bounce
- Take care of Spam complaints
- monitor Ips reputation and errors on daily basis and work out as per requirement
- manage Esps limits as per your ips reputation
- Ips warmup ( very important )

I've been only into SEO and I'm just starting email marketing so I'm completely lost with everything.
What would be the best solution for me if I have quite small (under 10k) single-optin list? Mailchimp banned me for promoting financial products around 1 year ago - not sure if that kind of service would be anyway the way to go?
How big of list I should have that I should be getting my own email server?
Any good resources about email marketing and running your own server?
