SMS Marketing

Text My Readers is giving away free SMS texting for your web page:
Code:
http://textmyreaders.com/free/
But this is not the whole system.

I believe the system is this:

1) You need a short code for your business customer to opt-in to
2) You have to have an opt-in and auto-responder with response message.
3) Once your business customer opts in he is placed into a database.
4) You need a billing system.
5) You need to be able to send sms messages to that database
6) And you need to be able to give your business customers access to text to their database.
7) And it would be nice to have metrics.

How?????????????

I was wondering about this too so I search Google for "How to send and SMS to multiple numbers" and eHow had the answer using email smtp. Apparently, to send a text message to a sell phone you send it to the number@service provider. Here is how eHow explained it:

URL: http://www.ehow.com/how_7497441_send-sms-multiple-numbers.html

Instructions

things you'll need:
Internet access
E-mail account
Recipients' cell numbers and providers
1
Open your email account on your computer, or cell phone if you have the e-mail application set up there.

2
Click on "Compose New E-mail." Place the cursor in the "To" field.

3
Type each recipient's cell phone's e-mail address, which would be the 10-digit number and the provider's e-mail information. For example, if one recipient's provider is Boost Mobile, you would type [email protected] as the e-mail address. See the Resource section for a list of providers and how to correctly format the e-mail addresses. Type a comma after each e-mail address.

4
Type the SMS message into the body of the e-mail field. Press "Send" when finished. The e-mail will arrive in the recipients' messaging applications on their cell phones as a text message. Any replies will go to your email address.

Maybe a COUPON CODE

2) You have to have an opt-in and auto-responder with response message.
In mobiles?
For what? Maybe a way to unsubscribe?

3) Once your business customer opts in he is placed into a database.
4) You need a billing system.
Paypal, Google Checkout and others maybe can help.

5) You need to be able to send sms messages to that database
A software for this

6) And you need to be able to give your business customers access to text to their database.
???

7) And it would be nice to have metrics.

In the box (image in that site) we can read: CELL PROVIDER.

I think this software (if worked) will not work in Brazil, right?

Only USA, I was right:

WORKS WITH USA CELL CARRIERS ONLY!

The best thing is outsource your SMS marketing to 3rd world countries. Where US laws can't catch you. It implies not only to SMS marketing. :D

Hey theleadsource,
I just started an SMS unlimited marketing engine. Its only to the US and requires Opt-in so I'll see if it grows or not. If you're interested PM me.

anyone have a website here which they can recommend which pay a premium for the opt in number people reply too? looking for a website that I can register for that

One of my local competitors uses SMS marketing for Pizza restaurants with great success. I can't get him to tell me how yet, but I do know he charges 10% of the increased sales. He's trying to do the same for some fast food places as well and as far as I know, he's making an easy $5 or 6K a month.

sms marketing is one of the very good marketing tool in offline biz. You can create awareness, built relationship and trust between you and customers.
I think Sms marketing more effective for physical product.

i tried before. I tried to create awareness, failed. :(
better u get customer's trust first then update your product's promotion using sms blast. save more cost. ;)

I promote sms advertising service recently, but its hard for me to get clients who wants to use my service. I think most business owner still not interested with this

bcoz the conversion rate not really quite good..

I think something like this isnt that good unless your constantly sending out information, something that would make your clietns want to come back, or something they would want to read. I mean comon look at some of the apps i see floating around, I have one app on my phone that tells me what happened on the specific day today w.e years ago,

i think it just boils down to what you can share.

I have also been looking into this, but in a different way. My way was just shooting out links, and anyone willing to download the software via my link gets me paid. Anyone willing to opt out, could just reply and i would remove them form the DB. only problem with this is no money for a program to do this. -.-

Hello! I have tried using text message marketing and I am still using it. Guess why! I made a lot of profits from it. :D Visit: textmagic

True. If you have your customers trust, you can always add on the SMS service for more income from your customer(s). I find this works.

I'm doing opt-in blasts from my own lists for Night clubs, restaurants, and theaters. I just started and have few clients. My fee is 100 per month.

I have had my fair share of runs at SMS marketing.. I really want a premium SMS gateway..that re-bills $x.xx monthly..

It works very well for businesses with a brick-and-mortar. They have a client base, but their not reaching them efficiently. So, SMS gives them a way to list build in an offline world.

I have just started SMS marketing and have seen phenomenal results for the clients niche that we are in. So well that I would like to know if anybody here has a script or way to build us a Text message service that we can use so we dont have to go through a 3rd party service provider.
