Smoking Pot And Achieving Goals

There's no study till date that suggests anything along the lines of pot motivating people. All the studies either show nothing, or show "reduced connectivity in specific brain regions associated with memory, learning, alertness, and executive function". Other studies have suggested that "sustained heavy, daily, adolescent onset cannabis use over decades is associated with a decline in IQ by age 38" (this all from wiki).

Just so it's clear, pot doesn't motivate people. But if your born like 2PAC and have a classic type A / balls to the wall personality, outworking and outpacing everyone... you almost need something to sedate you. Which pot does pretty effectively.

Hell, if I can run a successful business being on suboxone as long as I have (5+ years) than people can do anything they want if their mind is in the right place.

With that said, I still suggest people generally stay away from drugs. As opendminded as I am about pot cause I use to be a stoner, as openminded as I am towards drugs in general, in my own business I'd still prefer to work with a non drug user than someone like myself who's got a history using drugs. May sound hypocritical but I'm just being real.

No one can really answer this for you. Everyone reacts differently when they are stoned.

Depends on the person.

I think it really depends. I can't work while high on weed, with the exception of the Kali Mist strain, which seems to be the cannabis equivalent of cocaine or speed. That shit gets me to train for 2 hours when I smoke too much of it, even if its 2am in the morning, while still having a clear mind.

However, in the end its best to avoid drugs if possible and not delude yourself into thinking you can't work without it. Honestly, once I stopped smoking for a week, I really didn't miss it anymore at all. You just need to find something else that you enjoy.... I did it by learning programming (Python) instead. Weed, like any other drug, mostly impairs you. And if you just take your situation in perspective (just think of how much worse you could have it), it's really easy to stay perfectly happy without any drugs. But that's just my personal experience.

A bit of weed is like a lil drink, good way to relax (for me).

Just don't go injecting more than 1 marijuana at a time. It's illegal for a reason -- in most countries. Though, North Korea promotes daily use however.

I don't know where the hell you're from but no one around where I live injects marijuana, never even heard of that nor is it possible, it's a plant/bud that's smoked (Unless you use a vaoporizer).

I wasn't going to chime in to this situation but I've been a long time user of marijuana and have been using it for medical purposes for a condition that could one day end my life (I don't even like to type the word). I always keep myself motivated, I work hard, I volunteer my time one day a week in the community and try to have a positive outlook in life.

It's played a role in my journey of living with what I have and it has helped me to cope mentally with life in general, while the effect of smoking can be quite enjoyable, that's not the main reason I'm a consumer of it.

For me personally it really didn't help at all. After I stopped smoking pot I became a lot more productive. But I appreciate its not hte case for everyone.

Apparently it is safe to inject two marijuanas in your dick vein.

It's not the short term effect that your should be concerned with as it affects people in different ways. It's the 'potential' long term effects such as brain damage, lung cancer, heart disease, emphysema, infertility and more (especially if you smoke it with tobacco).7

There are so many conflicting scientific studies that unfortunately you will not know until it happens 10/20/30 years from now.

Apparently you can't get any of these illnesses if you shoot it up your bum.

Yeah you can achieve your goals smoking pot! But don't think that smoking pot is the only way to make you successful! There are other priorities beside the weed!
I smoke weed too, but business come first, always!

Smoking weed gives me always a lot of ideas and makes me excited and hopeful about my projects. I haven't tried working under weed though because I don't have access to it that often.

The effects of pot on people is very individualized. There are 2 types of people:

1. People who smoke and then have zero motivation to do anything. All they do is lay around, watch tv, and eat. I fall into this category, which is why I don't do it. It also made me paranoid as fuck. Of all the drugs(if you want to consider it one) it is my least favorite.
2. People who it increases productivity, thoughts etc. I know many people that actually perform better and more focused when they smoke weed. In fact I know people who cannot get motivated to do anything unless they smoke.

GED isn't graduating. Don't kid yourself.

OP, I've known a few functional pot smokers. It makes me sleepy but for them they get totally motivated to work. I guess only you would know if it's OK or not. Everything in moderation.

It's not a GED, it's a high school diploma. You can't even take your GED test until your over 18, otherwise every high school kid would do it. My diploma has passed as a real diploma every time I use it (jobs, courts, collage). Either way it doesn't matter because school was never part of my plan. :wiggle:

Pot gives me too much anxiety so I quit smoking, but when I did smoke I noticed I got a lot done. The thing is I didn't get it done because of the pot I was getting it done do to the guilt of being so stoned and wanting to get my life back on track. For me personally it's like a putting a gun to my head lol

i smoke weed daily and i be fine, i sometimes find that it helps me get more creative with my methods too but thats just me!
