SMM won't increase your CTR even if the views come from suggested. IDK how they do it, but it won't increase CTR.

Would a boost in views however give the algorythmn a "kickstart"? I've noticed when I've boosted a few videos, the non-boosted one's get recommended more often

They do things like modifying the referrer so that it looks like it came from a certain video. It shows as suggested in analytics but since the video was never shown as an impression the CTR isn't updated.
Right, that much I do understand. Which is sort of why I was hoping there was some method of using panels that would increase my CTR again and in turn allow my videos to stay on the suggested lists longer.
Seems too good to be true but doesn't it?

If the video didn't have a good starting CTR it usually gets less impressions from the algorithm even after the increase; I had a video go from 10% to 25% CTR and it never fully recovered.

If you can get high retention on that video, sure. But since most of the views are low retention, at least percentage-wise, I don't think it helps a lot.

Yeah at this point you should start a new channel then. Your subs are way too dull.
Depends on traffic source. If it's purely from Search Bar, it won't get much help on recommendations. Unless people clicked the video through browse features/suggestions and increased their CTR through that.

This is beyond being a totally idiotic response. At which point did you come to the conclusion that my subs were the issue? Just curious as to how your brain deduced that from the minuscule amount of information I have provided here?
I currently average about 250 views per video from subs alone which is on par with what I'd expect from past months, plus my videos get an ok amount of interaction on them. Yet about 6 months ago my videos went from averaging about 500 impressions with a 5% CTR after the first 7 days, and I'd get fluctuations per video sometimes hitting like 1-2k impressions and 10-15% CTR, and then all of a sudden now I'm lucky to get 200-300 impressions and 2% CTR per vid and I never have any nice fluctuations either, it's just flatlined.
But sure let me ditch something I've been doing for the past ~4 years to make an entirely new channel from scratch when I haven't even exhausted other possibilities? Cracked bants lad

I'm only suggesting this if your CTR isn't very good. Under 10% from the first few days is pretty bad for the algorithm. It means that when the video was freshly broadcasted your subs or viewers within your niche didn't find interest. Ditching a channel with subs is a hard choice but if you are constantly trying to revive it with low CTR%, it's not gonna go anywhere. Depends on your niche though. If you are a variety niche Youtuber, you should consider secondary channels.
