First find something that you like, amazon affiliate, click bank, adsense, etc. Then you can find the most cost effective way to proceed. Ex. If you want to go down the adsense path you'd spend $30 setting up a website, maybe $500 on content. Wait a few months, get ads on your site, then do crazy amounts of seo.

I would suggest trying a method and doing everything manually first.
Once you get profitable, you then use your money to scale your operation.
Thanks for the advice. I'm really looking into youtube + a blog website at the moment
