Smartest way to buy .com/.net domain

I'm planning to buy hundreds of .com domains but it requires thousands of $$$.
What is the smartest/cheapest way to buy domain? I can think off the following way but is there another method?

1) Using coupon code (cheapest=$7 from godaddy?)
2) Bulk buy
3) Buy hosting and cancel at the next rebilling (as far as i concern the hosting company will charge you the same domain price after you refund the hosting package. $10.69-$1.99)

Isn't there a godaddy club that gets a lot of discounts and buy cheap? Try joining in or talk to someone from the godaddy staff they'll help you.

You'll want to get a reseller account. Enom's pricing is really pretty competitive, and they are very low hassle. You'll want to contact their sales team, tell them how many domains you want, etc. For several hundred, it should be pretty straightforward.

Directi is another registrar that has inexpensive reseller accounts. Their interface is just so crappy though.
