I have a small website in a medium sized market. I have been adding unique articles here and there and was looking at bloggers new coordination efforts with G+.

I have just started a blog with my main keyword in the url. Is it better to tty and post new content articles ie basement finishing ideas there and attempt to stir up some conversation amoung my forum contractor friends or would posting somewhere else be better?

Also looking for advice about blogs and other sites which my serps could benefit from being included in.

Thank you in advance for your thoughts!

Hi,

I would be more than happy to help you, and anyone else who needs help, or just has questions. I'm a veteran SEO and have been in the search industry, for many years. I'm an Author on Search Engine Journal and I own a local SEO and web design company in Kentucky. Hope that qualifies me to help some of you out ;)

I have roughly an hour per day for seo work. I have been pretty good about trying to post something somewhere everyday. This being said I am running out of ideas and sites to blog to, get backlinks from, and post the content I have written. The truth is I could use some direction.

What would be the best use of my daily time in your opinion?

Do you have any suggestions for me as far as site I should be including myself in?

I have a lot more questions too but I don't want to over do it...

Thanks for your input Greg!

Ohiohomedoctor,

You are headed in the right direction with your blog. Keep doing that. Your main goal with the blog is to produce information that is helpful to your target market. Set up social profiles on multiple accounts (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, LinkedIn) in the name of the company. Share your posts there. Try and stay consistent posting 1-2 times per week or more.

Try and select target keywords for each post that you write although don't get carried away. Remember to keep writing for your readers and not for search engines.

How far have you gotten with building backlinks? Try and reach out to other bloggers and ask them if you can guest post on their site and include a link back to your blog. You could also create external business listings for your business to try and get it some more exposure.

Here are some other tips on promoting a blog,

Hope that helps,
