Small Proxy Farms Profitable?

So I am getting into the world of Proxies for myself, instead of buying from larger sellers.

I was in the view botting / social farming space about 15+ years ago. Now the space has changed a lot.

Proxies are still going stronger then ever and realistic human like automation vs bots is nearly indistinguishable.

My Question is, is it profitable to rent out a few of my 4G IPs, and what about the risks involved when renting them out?

As I would not want Game Ad Clickers on my IPs. I understand there is a lot more that goes into to determined if it is profitable.
I have created my own spreadsheet based of others costs per G or Unlimited models and my 4G Costs etc.
Personally I just want it to pay for itself and then some so I can also keep running my other proxies for my own usages.

What I have noticed is that the Proxy Market Pricing on BHW is quite spread out from super cheap to expensive for 4G.

My other alternative is to do marketing else where to get a few clients at the price that I would like.

Any other small proxy farm owners here?

Thanks

Main risks are getting your whole ip range blacklisted and/or someone using your IP for illegal stuff and you get a visit from black cars.

haha yeah, that is exactly why I am iffy about selling them directly. However the software I have with the hardware can block everything or only whitelist.

An alternative too that is I could create a SaaS product which will utilize the proxies in the way that I would want them to be used.

Its a serious thing..if you allow sspecific sites then it would be more safe i guess. Btw i am here to buy proxies for my seo tools like gsa ser, xevill

Hey! We've got a ton of expertise on this topic, and I'll try to briefly answer your main questions in simple, straightforward language.

1. Profitability of a small 4G proxy farm
Yes, even renting out one proxy access can be profitable. That's a fact. I personally had experience renting out a couple of my proxies at the start of our project, and it was beneficial. Here are a few tips to increase your income:
  • Spend time choosing a mobile carrier plan, as mobile internet payment is your main expense. On the other hand, the quality of mobile internet guarantees the quality of your proxies. By the way, some mobile carriers don't provide dynamic IPs, so make sure to check this out.
  • Invest time in finding multiple sales channels. Don't stick to just one forum. Experiment and pick one channel that is technically convenient for you and brings the nicest clients (in every sense).
  • Be cautious when offering people free trial access. There are many who will just use your free hours and disappear forever.
  • Organize your work to reward long-term, big clients. Offer them discounts, be kind to them, monitor proxy uptime. Your ideal scenario is having one steady client per 4G device. Then you won't need to spend time dealing with new clients, etc.

2. Risks of selling proxies
The risk lies in the fact that the mobile operator's SIM cards are personally linked to you. Whatever the buyer does online will be associated with your SIM card.
Here's what I strongly recommend:
  • Inform the buyer that you keep proxy logs and prohibit illegal activities (of course, you really should keep these logs or use a service that does it for you).
  • Ask the buyer to provide some personal information. Ideally, you could sign a proxy sales agreement with them.
  • Keep a sales history of your proxies - who bought them, from which device, and during which period.
If anything, we have an in-house lawyer we hired partly to ensure the security of proxy farmers using our service. Even if you're setting up proxies not through us but via dongles or something else, feel free to DM me with any complex issues; we're happy to share our experience. Plus, we have security and sales advice articles on our site, including various proxy sales agreement templates.

I'm afraid you're mistaken. That's true for residential router IPs. But we're talking about 4G IPs here, which are dynamic. No site would ever block the entire IP pool from a whole mobile tower.

I did not know that some 4G Carriers don't have dynamic IPs. I will have to test each one out with a cheap plan and see.

A big issue I can see is that in my country we have limited providers who do "Unlimited Plans". A lot of them do Per GB and then once over that limit the speed but you can still download / upload until the next billing cycle.

Yeah I understand that 100%

Yeah that is how I currently run my company. Taking on small jobs is never straight forward, the big ones are your bread and butter.

My issue here would be Using Data Plans that dont have unlimited and seller per GB. I dont really want to sell GB by GB. lol

That is exactly why I am here, I would not want my personal brand or company get hit by such a thing.

Again some great information. In my work we have to have contracts / NDAs and signed before anything begins. From my recent study I have noticed some providers dont ask for much detail, however some of the big ones ask for ID.

I would say providing some ID and a agreement would be the way to go.

With the software I have I can track, block, whitelist, logs everything per IP / User.

Will def give you a DM

Thanks for the response, hopefully it will also help others who are wanting to get into this space.

Depends, if you're IPs are organic residential then no reasonable website will want to ban it. CGNAT Gateway and all, it's quite secure from IP bans. Kind of explains why proxies that provide such IPs are on the pricier side vs Datacenter proxies and such.

ille be round shortly - and its a pink car, ive gone woke

Yes, but the competition is not small now, there are many cheap merchants

I personally haven't seen much "cheap" ones for 4G around and again sell else where is the goal.

Even then it would be cheaper for me to use my own proxies then others when running services.

Nope. The proxies don't sell. I tried for a year got zero sales and I can get lines and sell them 3 times as cheap as a regular proxy seller. I have great line sources.

Just never sold ever in over a year, we just scrapped the project.

I can get lines for like 10, 15 20 and 25 a line cost. I can sell them and make proffit at 30 to 100. I could never get a sale in over a year...not one. Alot of people in this sub think that this is a good gig. They have no idea what they are talking about.

I can beat any vendors price and I can't get any to sell. I have every major network at my fingertips cheap as fuck....still nothing.

Just trying to sell on BHW?

I haven't tried to sell the proxies, busy creating bots and running them / testing. If you cant proxy on the masses then trying to sell what you have wont work.

A lot of companies want 100+ and multiple locations.

I am getting a better response out of using my proxies for services and selling the services.

I have shoveled this everywhere to Amy company around the world I could. The cred generation thing could work, but account pushers isn't a steady flow and not work I wanna be doing.

We tried everything to get the proxies sold. Att and tmobile at $45 a month unlimited, still no bites. Iv approached big companies, little guys, and anything I could find that these would be in demand.

Like I said I belive this post, discussion is a sudo advertising for proxidize. Nobody can show me these sell at all in over a year. Other vendores can't compet with us price and volume wise. I can litterly get 1000 tmobile sims tomorrow and active them all. Att and verizon too. It's been worth Jack to everyone.

Really ? You know I think a a lot of that goes on on forums !

Reminded me a flat earth believer.

So you tell the whole market of mobile proxies is proxidize campaign? Come on.
I'm telling you the truth, and you are just being a dipshit. I told you my story, you dont have to belive me, but it happened.

You sound like you work for proxidize trying to sell there plug and play systems.

Why don't you come on back when you have a real argument and not a vuge comparison.
