Small Investment Method... Does Work Don't Hate

Very short method but I know it works from experience...

Grab about $30 to invest into some clothing at your local Goodwill / Salvation Army.

Find some clothing for a cheap price... you will have to do some digging to find popular brands but if you look hard enough you will find name brand items such as American Eagle, band / artist apparel, etc.

The best type of stores to go to is the ones that charge by the pound ($3 / lb of clothes) but any will suffice if the clothing is cheap. I usually try to aim for shirts in the $2-2.50 range and pants $5-8.

Now go to eBay and list your items... Don't mark your products up extremely high but just enough to make some money. I usually have a Buy It Now on the items double what the cost I got it for so $2.50 I would have the BIN at $5.00 + shipping.

As long as you have decent items that are popular then you will make sales.

For example I purchased a Bob Marley t-shirt from Goodwill for $2.25 and was able to sell the product on eBay for $9 after shipping. The shipping cost me $1.50 for the shirt so I had a total of $3.75 into the item and made a profit of $5.25.

This is not a get rich quick method nor do I think you will make a shit load unless you have tons of stores locally that have donations regularly but its a very easy way to make $100-200 extra a month.

Places like Goodwill are there to bring cheap clothes to poorer folks. I don't think the intention is for people to come in and resell the stuff :speechles

I personally think Goodwill is happy for anyone to come and purchase their stuff, regardless of whether they're "poor" or not. Those purchases support their company and the thrift stores themselves provide employment opportunities to those who wouldn't have a job otherwise (people with special needs/disabilities/etc.).

i know people that use to make several 1000s a week from selling cloth bought at the good will stores....

In this area people impersonate charities and put out donation bins. They resell anything with value and sell the rest as rags to car washes and what not. Quick way into hell but I guess there is money in it because they are persistent.

I think this is a win win for both people involved. First of all Goodwill gets what they want for the piece of clothing which in turn helps them fund all of the things they do. Plus whoever is doing this probably really needs the 200-300 a month. Not a bad idea at all....

Also another twist on this method would be find the locations that you pay for the pound which is a price like $2-3/lb and find decent baby clothes and take them to your local flea market or list the items on CL. I remember me and a friend went one morning to the flea market with baby / kids clothes that we advertised $0.50 per item all items. As soon as everything was out on the table we had buyers right and left purchasing multiple items and made about $80 minus the $8 cost of the table so $72 for a day of sitting and making change.

... well goodwill does it. why can't others? actually, everyone does it. sony takes products from intel, and sets their price on an upsell, of course, they work in a much bigger way. take for instance the gas you put in your car
the USA buys oil from other countries, and upsells it to the americans, including me. this method works for anything. when gas was about to spike from 1.24/gal up to 3$/gal, i had the idea to buy enough for a few 50 gallon drums and resell it to gas stations that were local.. the ones where the owner is also the cashier. they love things like that. unfortunately, i was only 13 or so, and had no access to drums or a car lol. its probably illegal as well..

which brings me to the question, why is it that we can resell alot of other things.. but can't resell government issued crap
