Hello guys,

I'm dropshipping on eBay for about 2 years now. Everything was running smoothly with a progress every month until this April. After the last eBay upgrade (store and catalog) I started losing sales. I have a great drop of something around 50%. Do you experience the same?

I've tried a couple of fixes but nothing helped till now:
1) Changed shipping from address to be the same as the one on the listings
2) Made all listings promoted with 1%
3) Change the promoted listing percentage to 3-5.
4) Add a lot of product to the buybox

While I still keep listing new items on daily basis and removing the ones which does not sell. No results till now. Actually I'm starting to wonder if I will manage to beat the problem?

Do you have any other suggestions on how to get the sales back to normal?

I do not drop ship.... but i read a recent article claiming that Ebay was throttling sales from Amazon to Ebay arbitrage dropshippers.

Are buyboxes only on ebay.com? Cause on different countries ebay's I can't see that

i can confirm that ebay was and still throttling dropshippers in the search engine -CASENI-... its not the dropshipping business, but the way that those dropshippers use ebay, to list, track, and manage the inventory...
so, try to list some items manually without using 3rd party apps....

I'm using automation tool in order to add new items. @amoon you suggest me to start listing manually and this should fix the problem? Do you know of any other thing that is causing the problem as I'm still going down.

i am still searching about this topic...right now found some ways to get sales back...

-STT :sell trought rate ...this affect many sellers and ebay gives more traffic to stores who have higher STT ...70 to 80 %...

-promoted listing: ive seen many dropshippers doing promoted and sponsored listing...and they get some sales back...

-the last thing is deleting the automation tools...as ebay admitted that stores who uses those tools to list hundred and hundred daily, will always be behind...me myself goind to try that...start with a fresh account and try to list manually and compare the results...

Good luck :)

I've already started to use promoted listings but without satisfying impact. I'll try to increase the STR and to list manually some of the items. I've searched for info on other places and the manual listing is mentioned also but it is just mentioned without a proof. I've read a couple of stories about people without tools who are also experiencing the same problems on eBay forum. Overall there isn't any proved approach.

So...I'm still searching

I'm still doing my best to find out a solution of this problem and still struggling to do it. I've checked the eBay community (both normal and business) and I noticed that 90% of the users there are complaining that since the late April 2018 everything went bad. It is the same for me. There are comments from all kinds of sellers both dropshippers, flippers and normal sellers/companies and all of them are complaining. This lead me to the thought that at the moment eBay search algorithm punishes all kind of sellers no matter of how you are listing, if you are a dropshipper or not. In eBay community there are also a lot of stories of companies and straight sellers who are using eBay for years and they are claiming that at the moment it is the worst time ever.

I also checked a lot of videos on YouTube from experienced dropshippers who also claim that they are struggling with sales and the fixes they propose are:

* promoted listings
* manual listing
* good STR

still I've used these and nothing changed.

So as conclusion: I'm still searching for a solution to get my business back.

The best approach is waiting since making to many changes wont help. I think you probably should be doing it but just confirming are you changing image meta data and hash to make it unique?. Is the description copied or written by you of course its understandable that you cannot rewrite the specifications.

I'm changing the description but still most of it is from the supplier site. As per the images they are copied directly by the automation tool which I'm subscribed to and I don't know exactly how it process them. Still this is an interesting proposition @seoxz Thanks!

They cannot remove dropshippers manually the only way they can catch you doing this must be the image and the description and dont make rapid changes to the account. They coded something to identify dropshippers all you need to do is thing what you normally do and what can you do to make it more realistic i am sure that can make a difference.
