Slow indexing on a post?

So I made a nice 2000 word post yesterday that has still yet to be indexed but today I make an about me and contact page which have both already been indexed?

Why has the high quality post yet to index?

I have been getting indexing issue for my sites. One of my sites has 38 posts and most of them have 3000 words but only 4-5 pages have indexed yet. I think many people also getting the same issue.
 
Indexing depends on your site's age and rank.if it's new you can't expect it to get indexed in a day.for me it usually took between 1 week to 1 month in new sites. So the more famous your site is the faster it'll be indexed.

It's happening across many sites at the moment. Seems to be a Google Bug that's going on at the minute.

If your site is new it could take a while say around 7 days... Also check the article for uniqueness and quality..these factors play a vital role..
 
My brand new site index's 1500 word posts in 15 minutes lol I guess in lucky

Not sure why the higher quality post has yet to be indexed, but if you want to move things along, use speed-links instead of waiting for Google to find the content on it's own.
 
If its a new site, it will take some time. Keep the site active, if its quality post, then it will get indexed naturally soon.
 
There are no rules when it comes to indexing. Google will simply notice some posts/pages sooner, some later, some perhaps never. So, there’s nothing strange with your post taking a while to get indexed. Just be patient and it should turn up.
