Slow Getting Indexted - advice please

I registered a domain 2 months ago and put up a holding page (1page) the e-commerce store will be on it in the next week or two.

I submitted it to the search engines and to a big bunch of directories in the usual way BUT none of the big engines seem to have indexed it, that's Google, Yahoo and Bing. I've even pinged the site, what do I do now?

I know G will mainly ignore the directories and that's OK but I want to be able to take my time and build the valuable links slowly and steady.

What do I do now?

for me, i will send my site to web2.0 social media first then i will ping my site. you can use either onlywire or media submitter bot of i am not mistaken.

got REAL inbound links to the site?

site:domain.TLD shows nothing?

They seem to have picked me up now
