Slow down and refine

I recently added a Hario Coffee Kettle to my favorite way to brew coffee at home (Chemex). And I realized that every tool I add to my coffee making routine makes it take a little longer, and taste a little better. I?ve been thinking about this for the past few days, wondering if there is a deeper lesson in there somewhere.
