Slideshare?

I recently read an outdated article about how great slideshare(.net) was in passing link juice with d0follow links. However it looks like slideshare doesn't do d0follow links anymore. All I see in non-contextual links in the slide shows. I am guessing that its pretty useless now in terms of passing link juice? I understand that it could be useful in getting traffic, but I am more interested in link juice as my main keyword is #6 on a 40k low comp keyword. I have not used this type of site to (is it considered document sharing backlink?) backlink from yet so I am interested in finding some alternative d0follow opportunities. What are some good alternatives? Thoughts?
