Wish if I could function properly with 6 hours or less of sleep in every 24hrs. Feel like I'm losing out 2.5hrs everyday from my life.

How many hours do you sleep per night? Please vote and mention the time on your post.

Would be interesting to know.

UPDATE: It seems the poll choices were wrong. Should have done 6 to 7, 7 to 8, 8 to 9 etc.

Generally 7-9 hours.

Got an awful sleeping habit that needs fixing - always tend to use my phone for an hour or two in bed literally scrolling through Reddit / watching videos and so forth.

Sleep is key without a doubt. I find oversleeping can make you extremely lazy and feel like shit the whole day, undersleeping is basically the same thing but a different feeling - you're just incredibly tired.

So now you're sleeping like 8 hours and a half?

That's right or I feel tired during the day.
So try cuting in the middle.

Use your clock alarm, sleep no more than 7:15. I'm sleeping 7:30 now because i have a habbit and every day i try to go to sleep at the same hour and wake up at the same hour.

7 hours for me, sometimes 6. No less than 6.

I sleep for 6 hours dot.

I feel it's less...

I want to increase it to 8hours somehow.

But my biological clock doesn't let me sleep more than that :l

I sleep for 5 hours every night. I know it's less then average but I have no side effects and feel as healthy as the next person. I do take a 30 min power nap in the afternoon though

From someone who don't follow his own advice:
As long as you mind body feel refreshed after you wake then you had enough sleep.
You can try to find your optimal sleep requirement by cutting down your sleep time each day.

Then you can during the day practice cat naps or power naps 10 15 or 20 mins.

I read an eye opening reddit comment which said how gaining extra hour or two each day
by cutting down sleep or unproductive indulgence would give you few extra years of waking
time in 30-40yrs.

Unless you die a few years early from the medical complications of chronic sleep deprivation. :D

You're all pathetic. I run a prototype CNC machine shop on 2.5-3.5 daily.

Over 1 year ago i had time when i had 3-4 hours sleep per day. On one hand i had more time during day, on other hand my productivity was really bad.
Few weeks ago i found an article saying that probably when we are sleeping our brain is removing toxic substantions from neurons. If thats true there is no point in limiting sleep time.

8 hours a day + various ways to improve productivity + training + nootropics... and you are limitless ;)
