Skype scammers are evolving

The way to bypass this is to have a link inviting buyers, it's faster and less risky than telling buyers to search your ID up and add you

I think BlackHatWorld already mandated this. Please correct me if I'm wrong @BassTrackerBoats

For instance, I submitted a sales thread couple of days ago and got rejected because I didn't have a direct link that takes people to my Skype account. I had to resubmit that sales thread with hyperlink the SKYPE CONTACT before it got accepted.

I think the mods are aware. I'm sure @Diamond Damien himself is aware of this.
 
Man, that's fucked up...

Just wondering, do people who decide to do it, do they really have so much free time to spend at such things?

Always ask for BHW PM confirmation.

They have added my Skype ID in their username, so basically whoever searches using my Skype ID, this Skype account will come up as well.

Very old trick they use. Better to give link to skype instead mentioning ID.
 
Scammers are there and will always be there. Why can't people know how to correctly add someone on Skype ? People do not know the difference between user name and user ID ? Is that some rocket science for which one has to to a PhD Degree for 4 years ? Unfortunately there is and will always be a sucker born every minute and it is these suckers who get scammed purely because of their stupidity. This is the truth and absolute truth.
 
I saw this many times before when i try to contact bhw sellers

That's great if it is! I still see sales threads with just Skype name on them and not the link, but that's great news that BHW has mandated it.

Mods doing really good work, this should be the norm now. Make it mandatory to have skype link instead of making customers trying to add you through ID which has the risk of getting scammed
 
I actually didn't think this was that big of an issue until I tried contacting some sellers here myself. I had to double check multiple times to check if the ID was right because I am not familiar with the new skype and didn't know what to look for. Especially if the profile pic is the same, it's hard to tell.
 
most of the popular bhw seller got impostor account

Its not an achievement, it’s actually a bad thing, rven i have faced this issue, one of my my client paid $100 to a fake skype ID impersonating me, Finally i ended up with a negative review in my sales thread. So i start to use join skype code instead of using my user name.
@lucky.sparks you know, it is really very bad experience. You have to protect you and your clients as well.

Nobody wants to impersonate losers, thus the achievement.
 
God thank you I donot became the victim of getting scammed.
To everybody chatting on Skype, always confirm the bhw I'd by sending confirmation before doing any payment
 
The downsides of popularity. Actually, there are lots of scammers in skype.
