Hello,

A while ago I've received this email:

I am writing in relation to your Skrill Account. Your account is currently under review. As soon as we are in a position to update you further regarding the status of your account, we will do so.

We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused, and assure you that we will be in touch as soon as we have an update.

It has been over 5 months that the account is under review and the support doesn't give any answers and they are not responding to emails either.

They just decided to freeze the account with the money inside and steal it!

I would advise anyone not to use them and to withdraw all your money from any account related to those companies, they try to steal as much money as possible without any reason.

I've provided them with all the documents, all the proofs but nothing has worked so far.

I also called them but they said that adequate department will be in touch with me regarding this issue.

Did this happen to any of you guys?

Thank you

That seems to be their modus operandi.

I had mine closed a few years ago, after I had used Skrill for over a decade from time to time. Amounts were never large and not even remotely suspicious, but at one point someone (probably a computer) decided my account was too risky.

Ever since, I got the same treatment as you. No responses to customer support emails and clueless phone support.

I didn't care much as I never held any funds in my account and used it strictly as a transactional mechanism, but with actual money at stake, I'd look at lawyering up. Payment processors are heavily regulated and generally very afraid of any legal action taken against them.

Best of luck!

Skrill became the same as PayPal..they were better before but they had some issues with Visa/Mastercard compliance checks 2/3 years ago from what I heard.

Did they tell you the reason because 'status of the account' cannot be the only reason behind it.

skrill stole my money and closed my account few years back i uploaded all my real id but they did not answered my email ,skrill is a scam
