Skills Needed For A Blackhat SEO

Good day to all...

This will be my first post here at BHW, and as you can see from my thread title, I am sort of a newbie in the blackhat marketing arena. I just want to know what are the basic skills you must learn in order for me to follow the internet lingos that are being discussed here at BHW. I've simply started using the computer back in 2002 out of curiosity and also for the fun of it. Just in September of 2008 is when I really became fascinated about IM and it's potential of being a passive home-based business and the other interesting benefits that comes along with it.

The computer skills that I currently have right now are the following:

1] MS Office [Word, Excel, Powerpoint]
2] Emails
3] Average in PC hardware troubleshooting
4] Average in Windows [mainly XPs & not the server types] environment troubleshooting
5] Have basically studied the ins and outs of IM for about 8 months or so and is mostly interested in the CPA marketing arena
6] Started a personal blog at Blogger but I didn't have that much time to pursue, or even update it, because I didn't know how to monetize it to gain a considerable amount of income online
7] Have a slightest idea on what are the basic concepts of SEO but not that extensive
8] Have joined safelists and other guru's safelists but not truly took action, or utilized their offers, but I've just used it to gain substantial infos about the IM industry

As you can see, it'll give you on how much I grasp the concept of IM and the inner workings of it. Should I learn the basics of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, web designing, etc. in order for me to follow the idea behind all of this SEO thing, may it be used for blackhat or whitehat purposes? Would you recommend that I take some crash courses in either one of this I've mentioned above? What would you recommend the best places, besides BHW and the likes, to start learning all of this if I'm going to do some self-study?

I guess I could sum up what you need to do in the following three steps:

1. Read BHW
2. Study the methods
3. Do

I think that the most important one would be number three as so many people end up with information overload by reading all the ways you can make money but never do anything with it.

Also, it doesn't hurt if you can throw some creativity into the mix - making money online isn't exactly the same as baking cookies by following the recipe - it doesn't hurt to try something a little different, do some testing, and see what the result is.

Anyway, I wish you luck and it is good you ended up here - if I had started out here when I first decided to make a living online, things would have been a lot easier.

you definitely need at least three days reading this forum, you need to absorb a lot of information, you need to pick your niche, and stick with it, become an expert in your field. read the forum again, because this is where your best information will come from.

at the very minimum basic seo 101, patience and ability to think outside the box....

"outside the box"
even if you replicate some old already being used methods still you will see some bucks coming

Number 1 tip... Done. I'll make it up everyday to gather all the needed infos I can muster all here. I think BHW and I will have a very loooong relationship in the years to come... Hehe...

Number 2 tip... No offense bro but you make it sound as if I know that much and sounds that it's like a walk in the park but I can assure you that since I'm really, really interested on the inner workings of this skill, I'll put in my very best to understand all the concepts behind all of this. Wish me good luck on this guys...

Number 3 tip... Haaahhh... Yep... It all boils down to this very last important tip... I think all of my energy will snowball on this one since I have to act on my methods that I will initiate since this is the only way I'll know if I'm doing it the right way. The only one question that really lingers in my mind is do I have to have some pocket money to invest here or is it just ok that I can start even if there is no investment to make? As in nada or zilch? I think that somehow you'll need to invest some money if you want to do some online business like acquiring and buying some domain names and the likes. What do you think guys? Any ideas and thoughts about this?

Yes domquar... You're totally right about the 3rd step... More like of what I'm seeing somewhere here on the BHW forums which is I think what they call "analysis paralysis" or somewhat like that. I think that's the final step I'm going to undertake to really reap the ups and downs of IM.

You're right about there... I think all the methods discussed here at BHW can be tossed, mixed up, and interchanged in order for us to see what works and not. The beauty of creativity and the endless possibilities that follows it... Hehe...

You should know know a few programming languages too, namely HTML and PHP if you're serious about making money online.

Knowledge won't hurt. The more time you invest in learning (and most importantly, apply the knowledge!), the more bucks you'll earn. Good luck.
