Programming.

If you have been good in maths and have good logic, analytic thinking, I would go for programming.

It would take several months to aquire reasonable skills, but it will definitely pay off in the future, wether you want to apply for a regular job, or set up your own website or store.

I am not a programmer, but the Company that I currently work for uses Ruby, Go, Rust, Javascript, and C, among others.

Im doing exactly this and making money on Upwork

I started coding when I was 16. definitely one of the best things that happened to me.
You are miles ahead if you know how to automate stuff and set up servers mailing etc.

Learn to Sell. There are so many things are built and going to be built. Only a few of them sell and make money. Selling Skills has never an expiry date.

In my opinion, learning how to sell is probably the best skill. You might have the best product in the world. But if you can't sell it, there is no use for it.

Those are great suggestions. Ive recently started taking a salesforce class to get a better job......or a job to be honest. But my heart is definetely in most of the subjects that are discussed in this post. Ive been learning so much and cant thank everyone enough. Im actually thinking about trying to start a lead generation business, but noticed all the threads are pretty old. Ive been in sales and believe if I can learn the tech part that I will be able to make a robust earning in this area due to my interpersonal skills as well. I was maybe thinking of getting leads and then outsourcing. The funny thing is that the angle of just getting the leads without ever needing to close them had never crossed my mind. But im wondering, while ive read was spectacular and blew my mind and filled me with thoughts and hope, is lead generation still a viable business to start? Are there new methods to doing it in 2020. I was learning about making small websites and getting leads that way. I was also thinking that I could maybe scour social media with a listener and find leads that way. And I was thinking if I could get good at scraping, i know I could find places to scrape to have most likely been untouched. Id really like to know if there is some kind of tracking system certain pages have on them, like cookies, and if they do is there a method of getting those IP addresses and tracking down the contact info? I know its probably a stupid question, but im very green and trying to learn any angles there are. Or if theres a way to get the info off of the comments (I think a scrapper can do that.) It seems that if you could get the ip addresses of people who have visited a certain niched site multiple times that you would have a pretty hot lead. But again, im not sure if thats possible. Also could you use a social mention listener to get leads? As a guy trying to start a lead business wouldnt the lead be cold by the time I could sell it? Unless it was a super long sales cycle product. Also is the lead generation business a competitive field?This is just a couple thoughts I had.

I was also wondering if making websites with lead forms or contact us buttons that call a call center is still a good way to go. It seems brilliant to me, but im a newb and not sure if that method is over saturated since the articles i read were pretty old. Is it over saturated and overdone? I know this is alot of questions so I apologize, how do you find people to buy your leads exactly? Would I directly PM a loan orginator or salesman on linkedin? im a little hazy on that.

My Contribution, maybe? Heres a idea i had last night that may be some contribution. but im not sure if it would work so if not please let me know. if it would, than great, I contributed something. Here it is;

focusing on getting leads for construction companies (custom homes and remodels in particular,) asking for a percentage of the profit if they close. But heres the kicker, closing rates for const companies go up by 30% if the contractor can provide the financing and the scope and revenue of the job originally wanted also goes substanially. So the Idea is to get the leads for the contractor and then also use that lead generation to sell leads to services that provide the financing for the contractor to finance the project. You would get two leads for one project. What do you guys think, would that work or is that already done to death. Hope thats a helpful thought process, if not i appreciate you letting me know not to waste my time

Start with keyword research, it will make things a lot easier for you.

No offence bro but just not true. Programming is tough to learn sometimes, but is one of the most valuable skills you can have in 2020. Not just from a money making point of view but for creating things with code that you can use yourself. I do it all the time.

There's tonnes of money in programming, as long as you think outside the box and don't just expect to create a Fiverr or Upwork for web dev and make $x,xxx straight off the bat. Once you can code in Python you can learn deep learning fairly easily (the basics quickly, more complex parts takes months of focus).. after that the potential for your earnings through employment, joining a startup or creating an AI-based app that can be monetized goes through the roof compared to most other digital skills.

Don't overlook programming because it's tough, keep persisting and it will make sense. Once you get the hang of it and learn how to research and troubleshoot effectively, then it becomes something that is also very enjoyable.. like getting into a zen state.

Sell what?

Selling is a universal skill to learn hands down, like the others mentioned. You sell in your day to day life, whether it is a product, job role, relationship etc.

Learn how to market a product and make sales, and everything else becomes easier.

Learning one thing at a time could be boring and one day when you learn it then you start feeling like this is going to be obsolete. Even if its not the case it can be boring. I suggest to keep learning whatever you have decided from the above suggestions but also keep looking for interesting things you can try yourself from this platform. I have tried a lot of things and have earn a fair bit from some little tricks from here and there. Like I just learned an interesting thing and I will try it in few days.
