Hi Bhw what's the most valuable skill in MMO based on your opinion ? SEO,programming,marketing... ?
otherwise if they asked u to take a pill that would make you really good at something what pill would you pick ? and why ?
-For me i would go for programming pill yeah being really good at programming make life easier in general and with the right mindset you can make alooot of $$

If I had to start over or wish I done one thing. That would have been paying more attention to the .net/c++ and other programming courses and then actually picked one and stuck at it.

So for me it's coding. I've not got the mind set to go off and learn now but there are plenty of old systems using older languages with very few programmers left who can maintain those systems.
 
I am a developer and it's overrated unless you're working a 9-5 or got some good freelance gig

if you want to make money from nothing get good at copywriting and graphic design

if you can crank out 5000 words of quality content per day you're printing money
 
Keyword and niche research and competition assessment ofc , it's 70% of the job in MMO . U have to sniff where money is , like a dog .

Assume you are not a good developer then ;) LOL

I don't know any decent developer who wishes they done copywriting or done graphic design. All of my old "developer" friends are earning 6 figures... and are always busy.

I guess they're in silicon valley working for some tech startup with VC money?

My mates who did compsci in uni walked out into 35k per year entry level developer jobs at agencies

If you're good at marketing online you can make double and triple that with barely lifting a finger

As a developer you're a slave, with IM you write your own destiny

No all based in the UK! One works for a bank doing .net the others are PHP lads working in and around London some travel to the US but none are Silicon Valley types.. they have been coding for a while mind helps if you build up a name you get referred a lot like most things in life I guess.. not a dig but I don't know a decent developer that isn't busy or pulling a good wage.

Even in my area developer jobs are starting at 45k+ at entry

agree but its not bout the programming language nowdays you can literally do anything with node js from webapps to desktop and mobile apps its more like knowing the base of programming algorithms data structures and stuffs you can google code but you can't google logical stuffs

money from nothing no i would rather spend 24/7 learning valuable skills than getting 5$ for writing or translating and routine work
 
Problem solving, all other are merely tools.
 
Marketing. If you have the traffic, you can sell nearly anything
 
Without a doubt, marketing. Some IM people are naturals and just know how to get the clicks and eyes. Good traffic is most valuable compared to all else.

The only bad thing is to be a developer 99% of thr cases you need to have a fucking degree in computer science, cause companies are stuck with that bullshit mentality.
 
Most important IMO: Brains + creativity.

Being able to see where things are going and anticipate trends.

Everything else, including programming, is a consequence of strategy. Code the right solution for the trends you saw or design something great and write tons of good content are consequences.

I see some questions here and I notice a lot of folks buy scrapebox, gsa and don't know what to do with them. It's not about the tools and technical skills, it's all about creativity.
 
For most of the freelancing skills, the amount you would earn largely depends on quality of work & clients with the right mindset to keep you posted. Programming is nice though!
 
Don't need to look at the other answers, Programming is the ultimate skill. Actually just came back to this forums cause I needed help with responsive programming for my website.
 
I can imagine why you feel like that but that’s were the bullshit mentality start, why not start you’re own company and hire people without a degree ? Finding skilled people is hard for various reason hence a degree proves someone can do “magic” trick on the contrary not having a degree means not having proper history. Incomplete profiles usually fail proving a skill set which falsely depict having a degree in computer science a necessity to practice development.

Yeah, cause if you work for a fucking company you need to poses ton of unnecessary knowledge, that doesnt correlate to the task that you need to complete. I know a bunch of people who started and became great programmers without a degree but they had and insider to help them get in. And i i know a ton of people with a degree that suck at it.
