hi guys,

what is better sitewide link or homepage link??

I have some websites that have lots of inner page (arcade site + autoblog).

Will they benefit for my new site if I put sitewide link??

normally, all of these links will be shown in google, yahoo or bing (I did with some websites before).

but I don't really know which is better for SERP

sitewide i would say. Looks a bit suspicious google wise if all links are to main page

Its really obvious to tell someones been at the blackhat when they have 20k links to main page and none to subpages

Sitewide link will give you more of a boost if this link is on the sidebar, footer, or navigation area of a website, but a contextual homepage link will likely help you more than a sitewide link. Plus a contextual link isn't going to raise as much suspicion in the eyes of google.

if the domain is quite aged,i will definitely recommend sitewide links.

When linking to your new site, you should link to all the content pages of the site. This will make your links look more natural. An easy way to do this with WordPress is to use the Smart Links plugin. This way you can get automatic links to your site(s) with anchor text based on your content. Easy to set up and works like a charm. Also, make sure your sites are hosted on different accounts (ie hostgator and bluehost). This will give you some ip diversity.

with the new update to the Google algo doesn't it mean that you only need to get links to your homepage and Google will still see this as link love to your inner pages..

Dunno if that true or not, but it's what i've heard in the grape vine..

Could make sense. A competitor of mine has 8k backlinks to homepage and less than 100 sublinks

Hes climbing strong. Amazing that Google hasnt done anything as there all blackhat

Sitewide in the long term. If you link to the home page it looks fishy to Google and you might get de-indexed.

Link to all your pages....it looks natural and it's still very effective for your site's rank. Since all your pages have links to your home page and vise-versa, all link juice you get to any page will be shared to an extent with the others.
