Sites with low domain authority rank first. Why?

Backlink checking tools are inaccurate since they are blocked by most people who own PBNs. Those scores mean very little. The answer is obvious. They have better links than you that you can’t see.

I always see this in the tech niche.
ignoring the spam ones that go away after 1-2 months, the ones that are ranking with fairly low metrics are really niche and on point.
Most of the time the big players are well below #7-8

The newer type of articles with a lot of H2, and well structured are ranking better and better each day. The high authority domains just bank on the fact they have high authority.

In addition to the point mentioned by @MisterF and every active member of BHW, DA does mean next to nothing to Google. And in addition to that, good content outranks mediocre or worse content everywhere pretty regularly.

Probably topical relevance and addressing search intent in the best possible way
Images have nothing to do with it btw

Ok I understand, my content is original (written by me) it takes me time to research and has no spelling mistakes. I will try to make it even longer and have more topical relevance.

This one actually looks like a legit site. Well, at least it's not on the Trashabado theme.

Hello everyone, lately I noticed two websites without authority (1 to 5) that are first with several keywords in google. My site has 25 authority and I can't rank first with those keywords. I create unique, long, quality text with very good photos.
Can I share the two competitor sites here? I don't know how they do it, maybe it's a black technique.
DA is not an official metric by google, thats why.
MOZ can only do a superficial analysis, just like any other tool

You can share them
Never underestimate a competitor. They can be using weird things to achieve that authority. Also there are other factors. For example, some people like to buy popads to boost their clicks and some do some CTR manipualtion techniques in relatively low competitive keywords which this could be a major factor.

SEO is not 100% about linking.

Maybe it does some click manipulation as you say

For example the first website has some notes in position 1 in google and the content is not very good compared to other sites.
Can I please just say I do not use any black hat techniques. My site: the second one here is now over a year old at this point and I'm still working on producing content. I have not done any link building which is why my DA is low.

And yes, I signed up just so I can comment on this post

Domain authority is just a number that a website lets Google know how authoritative it is.

It's actually one of the factors to rank a page.

Check other factors of those low authority sites and you will get a conclusion.

I should look for more long tails because clearly DA is not doing much good lately.

Many links, but very nice.

Do you think if Trump start a blog on a brand new domain it will rank?

I'm in the same situation with my new site - one of my competetion sites rank really good besides only having shitty link. The reason could be topicial authority and domain age or also hidden pbn links.

In my case i think it's the first so give it some time

I see this all the time.

Instead of getting all caught up about domain authority, focus more on whether the content that ranks high on Google delivers on the search intent behind the key words being targeted by those pages.

That's the name of the game.

Thanks to machine learning and artificial intelligence, Google is focusing more and more on user experience.

We should do the same.

Instead of leaning too heavily on "mechanical" indicators of quality like domain authority, let's put the user first.

What are they looking for?

Why did they enter this set of keywords into Google instead of another set?

What are your competitors doing?

How are they trying to satisfy search intent?

By crafting your content and linking strategy with these questions in mind, you go a long way in distancing yourself from your competitors.
