Sites hit by GA/GSC association?

Hey guys,

I was wondering if any of you have had your whitehat/non-rules-breaking sites hit by a google penalty because of GA/GSC association with your other blackhat website?

Some people swear that you shouldn't put your whitehat and blackhat sites under one GA/GSC account, some people argue that you could be an agency having customers' sites under your GA/GSC and that google can't punish other associated sites because of one "bad apple".

I am interested in hearing your real experiences.

What is the benefit of putting sites under the same GSC?

I have always used different GSCs for my projects.
 
And what exactly is blackhat? Because if you have websites that are really blackhat, with some really shady promotional tactics, then having them in GSC would be a bad idea anyhow. But if you're referring to some links.. well.. a lot of websites have bad links due to overall internet spammy practices that might have no connection to them.. So no, just because I have used a PBN on one website and I kept one somewhat "whitehat", I wouldn't worry too much about that..

I would avoid having websites using the same PBN network to rank under the same GSC, though. It can become a big footprint.
 
been having all of my websites under the same GA and GSC for 12 years, never had any issue with this. But I don't have PBNs, or client sites (just my personal websites), so I don't think it's bad
 
I switched to statcounter, which uses a single dashboard for your visitor count and all your sites. Each analytical code is different on each site, so nobody can reverse engineer all your sites, not even google!

Yes you don't get all the bells & whistles under the hood compared to GA, but the ease of use, is much better, and it leaves you to concentrate on actually taking action on the site, not just checking report after report, and data data data.
 
I'd say it depends on the number of sites

If you own like 5 sites, it doesn't hurt to keep the shady ones under the same hood
 
We all want to get the pages and blogs indexed by google, especially for the new site.
If you can do that, you don't need GSC, you just don't.

To me, it's like handing over my site, my association, my id, footprint, fingerprint, and all the data that can be linked and associated with each other and to me to google. For free.
Just because I got low time preference and I can't wait to get my site indexed.

The closest info I have is Doug Connington a backhat youtuber got hit by google penalty and that he was keeping his black hat gmail separate from his white hat gmail. He suggests same.

Using gmail for any kind of SEO talk is out of the question for me. I usually stay away from any email sent via gmail which deals with link buying and other stuff like that.
