    Hi,

I have a sitemap generated by Yoast which i have submitted to Google webmaster tools. The sitemap has been submitted. However the sitemap is showing that 5,476 pages have been submitted and only 2,945 pages have been indexed. The number of pages that have been indexed is considerably lower then the amount of pages that have been submitted and i wanted to know why that is? Every time google crawls my sitemap the indexed pages figure never goes up. It always stays the same. I have tried testing the sitemap and everything is fine. I really need some help with this as i am starting to get concerned that pages on my site are not getting indexed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Googlebot is slow these days. I have the same problem, google indexed pages that are not 100% unique on my site and not indexing one that is 100% unique. These pages that google indexed are 200-300 words, that one who is 1000+ is not indexed. I'm waiting to be indexed like 5 days still same...
Maybe is because i use keyword who is 2500+ a month searched.

Update: Oh, I see why one of my old pages are not indexed. It's because they are 50% unique and 50% plagiarism. The new one is 100% unique, but google needs time to index it. As i said they are slow these days, that can take up to 2 weeks.

The thing is my the number of indexed pages has not gone up in months despite the fact that i am constantly adding new content to my site? This is what's concerning me, I've done a test on the sitemap and it returns no errors?
