Hola i got an issue with the sitemap, so i have a multisite on wordpress and rankmath as the seo plugin and i m trying to have a sitemap for each multisite but i cant do it .

Example of the multisite i have :
website .com/en-us
website .com/fr-ca
website .com/fr-fr

but for each one of these i cant have website .com/en-us/sitemap_index.xml do u guys have any idea how can i get this job done .

How does this differ from any other website? Your language versions are merely subfolders one level down, not subdomains or anything.

They are all part of one website and I do not see any point in having a sitemap for each language version. Just do one normal sitemap and be done with it.

What benefit do you expect to get from having a dozen sitemaps? All you will do is confuse the bots.

Multisite + RankMath can be limiting here.
By default it generates one sitemap for the whole network.
You may need separate subsites or tweak network-level sitemap settings.

are these all in the hosting package? as in the default files, ive never had any issues with any of my sites in any other languages...

In WordPress multisite RankMath usually only generates a sitemap for each subsite if each language is set up as a separate site in the network.

If your languages are just folders like /en-us /fr-ca then RankMath treats it as one site so you only get one sitemap at the root.

You might need either separate subsites for each language or a multilingual plugin like WPML or Polylang that properly handles per-language sitemaps.
