My site map is not fetching giving error "could not fetch" everything is correct there is no error. How much patience will it take? I have a list of 12000 URLs in my sitemap.

If you encounter a "Sitemap Could Not Fetch" error, there are several steps to resolve this issue. First, ensure that your sitemap URL is correct and accessible. Check for typos or issues in the sitemap file. Next, verify that your website's robots.txt file allows search engine bots to access the sitemap. Additionally, check for server-related issues or restrictions that might be preventing proper fetching. Use Google Search Console to submit and test your sitemap, allowing you to identify specific errors or issues that need attention. Regularly update and resubmit your sitemap to ensure search engines can crawl and index your website effectively.

If your list of web pages is displaying "could not fetch" even though there are no errors, just wait it out; it could take a while, especially with 12,000 URLs, but keep an eye on it and check for updates again.

Try using another browser, in case you use chrome, because it uses a lot of resources to open that link. Try edge or instal opera, waterfox or brave.
If you get that error while submitting your sitemap to google, try to brake it in smaller files. If you use wp, choose any free seo plugin to do that for you.

you can divide some of them into parts.
and call each section group in the main sitemap

I am not sure on how long, but it will take some time for search engines to go through it all, so it's about being patient while they do their thing since you have a big sitemap with 12,000 links.
