Hey SEO guys,

Quick help please, I have a site that I purchased, it has like 40k pages indexed in Google, but not all getting SEO traffic, many very badly optimized (mostly with even no content).

Now, for SEO only, would it be better to remove all bad-performing pages and focus on much less pages, but better SEO optimized (better link juice for each)?

Thanks!

How many daily uniques? What's the niche?

Right now on-page SEO can do micracles, but you need content. 40k articles would be difficult to make.

Either put content into the pages that lack content or delete them. They do not give your website a positive affect in the search engines when you have indexed pages without content. On site or on page SEO is very important and has been for some time.

Depends what your purchased the site for ad what you intend to achieve with it. But those many pages would be difficult to replicate so retain the few most important ones and take it from there.

Figure out which pages if any are ranking and where, then focus your energy on optimizing those pages better.

Keep doing that and you can have a site that starts getting a ton of traffic, and optimized traffic for making money.

Don't waste time on what doesn't work, focus on what is and optimize those pages first.

Hey guys, thanks for the replies!

The site gets around 10k UV/day. All I care about for the site is the ammount of traffic it gets in total, that's it.

What would be better for that?
