Site Wide Link Building

Question, is it a good idea to use site wide links when you are using the name of your domain and its in the same niche.. For examples, I have a real estate site and I placed a site wide link on another real estate site with a DA 24 and another one with a DA 39

Evening if my website is name acerealestate.com and I name the link ace real estate?
 
Don't try those kind of links they can harm ur website !!!!

Sitewide links bad? Hmm what if it is from pr5+ sites in your niche utilizing different anchor text for different sites...

Example of sites in same niche:
site= pr5 sitewide aka blogroll link anchor "tools" for tools . com
site= pr6 sitewide aka blogroll link anchor "tool site" for tools . com
site= pr7 sitewide aka blogroll link anchor "Tools.com" for tools . com

What would be wrong with this? I would think that would be pretty strong help and not dangerous at all....
 
There is nothing wrong with site wide links if used wisely. Don't mark something as "bad" just because it didn't work for you...
 
The idea is to make them appear natural. Using your domain as anchor would be a good idea.

I seem to disagree with you on this. Let's cut the chase, sitewide links are explicitly forbidden by Google in Webmasters guidelines. In fact, most of clients lost their seriously-labored high rankings because this so-called sitewide links. When I cleaned up thier mess. They returned to winning ways. So bro, sitewide links are extremely dangerous and bad. Whether you use your brand name or target keywords as anchor text, it will always look unnatural in the bot's eyes.

It can help a lot or it can hurt a lot, but I wouldn't take the risk if it's an important website.

really it says they are bad now in the "webmaster guidelines"?

Do you guys remember when google told people to trade links with similar sites in the "guidelines"?
 
There is nothing wrong with sitewide links as long as you keeo it reasonable and don't let them make up a big percentage of your link profile.
 
Site-wide links are very frowned upon lately. Google has been more aggressive on their stance against sitewides. I wouldn't recommend doing it as it looks unnatural in Google's eyes.
 
I would not recommend the use of site-wide links like the others have suggested.
 
From everywhere that I have read and watched videos on as long as your site-wide link is from a "related" site it is fine and does help but if you have a store selling soccer balls and you have a sitewide link on a reality site that is not good and can get you in trouble.
