My site was #1 for all of its keywords, good backlink profile, and has no penalty.

But I been away from internet marketing for a while and forgot I had changed debit cards and my hosting has been expired for about a month.

Today hosting and site has been back up. I'm building a few high quality backlinks to the site weekly, I was wondering if the rankings would be able to bounce back quickly.

The backlinks would be from my own PBN if that matters

I remember this hapenning to me two years ago (I forgot to renew the hosting), and when I started seeing a drop in the earnings I realized that my site was down. Anyways, it took me around 3-4 weeks to get it back to top rankings. So, I think you'll manage to do it in the same time span :) + I used crappier links...

good to know as i have a site in the same position

Oh, one month is a huge period of time! According to my experience, search engines are pretty gently if site is down for a week or less.
So, I think in this case it is worth to wait for a month or so.

thanks for responses so far guys its appreciated

This happened to me recently, one of my domain got expired, since it was registered with godaddy and on a different email, i didn't get alert that the domain was about to expire. Anyways, after 30 days of the site been offline, i got it back and start adding more content, and got some of my ranking back within +/- 2 weeks.

The solution is this;

Build more quality articles (with pictures and words of 1000 + )
Build more quality backlinks, gently nor aggressively,
Build more social signals to the website.

Then wait and see, if it has been there before, it surely will go there again.

Goodluck my friend.
