I wanted to try a method, so I bought a domain on GoDaddy and a web hosting on iPage.

But now I can't transfer my domain to iPage because it's not been registered for at least 60 days.

I never used a site before, so what I have to do now? This is ridiculous.

So this is not normal?

I mean, what I have to do? Buy a domain and then always wait 2 months to use it?

You set the dns and you are good to go... or im missing something here ??

I don't what you mean by missing something.

So I have to set the DNS to transfer my domain from GoDaddy to iPage? Then I don't have to wait 2 months?

Why transfert your domain to ipage ?

You bought hosting from ipage in your email account info from ipage you should have the dns, on godaddy select your domain and set the dns to the one for ipage.

No need to transfert domain...

You don't need to transfer you domain. All you need to do is update your DNS settings on GD.

Here it is. Just go to Domains/Manage My Domains/ then choose a domain from the list and then click Nameservers icon. Then click Set Nameservers and change existing Goadaddy nameservers to the name servers iPage provided to you (ask them or whatever, I don't know if they already gave you name servers)
That's it.
You can have a domain with one company and hosting with another, it is normal

You normally just have to point your nameservers from your domain registrar to your web hosts, you don't have to use both domains and hosting accounts with the same company.
