Site Stuck On Position 5

I am building more PBN links to it so will let you guys know if that works for anyone interested. If that doesn't work I might throw a lot of sape links at it and see what happens lol.

That's good advice. I am not getting much traffic though so need to break into the top 3 or else I have just invested a lot of money for nothing..

At position 5 I would work on meta title and description to increase click through. Don't go crazy with the links though. It takes time and maybe a few minor tweaks to get you into the top 3.

How is your site speed?
What is the time on page and average page views of the current traffic?

Apparently Google doesn't like to risk. All you have to do is keep improving your website, waiting for the dance and pray. I wish you all the best.

Best regards.

Just an update on this. Still in the same situation despite getting more high quality links.

As a side note the domain I am using was previously penalised (disappeared from index for 2 months and then came back). Could this be what is holding this site from ranking? I could move to another domain?

Could be algorithm related type of listings - whether those are 'authority' for that particular brand name, etc? Or otherwise, there are some methods that you can employ to enhance your ranking, eg, lower your bounce rate, increase user engagement, or simply to increase your site's authority, which can definitely boost your site's ranking in the process.

It seems your link quality is not good, go for more powerful links, update your content, and shoot some social signals that should help you rank up provided the keyword is easy

Optimize your site speed and meta titles. You're using WP?

No it's a Shopify site. I found Wordpress sites much easier to rank..

Wow position 5 in 6 months. Great niche and work I guess.
Now that's the routine, increase site authority by backlink improvement.
Increase behavioral factors .
Create more content to increase semantics.

To be first you need to outrank your competitors. Simple hard work routine.

Thanks for the advice. I have already done the above.

As the site is not getting enough traffic yet to make sales I am considering going Rogue and building hundreds of links and see if it sinks or swims at this point.
few links per few days to moneysite is ok, more than that its spammy. i build few links every day or two.

what youre experiencing is domains with better and/or more links than you outranking you. i have the same problem.

No they don't have more links than me at all..but they have been around a few years and that counts for a lot by the looks of things. I am not going to give up as nearly. there.

Just so you know, your third signature link is not working.

To the OP, have you tried sending stronger (perhaps niche edits) link to it? I see that working like magic for some niche/keywords.

The thing is though, not all of their links will appear in tools such as Semrush and Ahrefs.
What I would do though is work on taking over the other positions on page 1. This could be parasite pages that you can still leverage some funds from.

Actually you can increase periodicity over time. It will looks even more natural.
Also people usually ignores fact, that google start considering link only when their crawler index them. And that's not always = day you public it.
Also Quality > Quantity. I would check all his referrals and will try even to redo best backlinks.

Yeah I have spent a fair bit of money on some very good links last week so will see if they work!

I am facing the same issue but different niche..hope i will get the solution here.

Analyse how the big players are doing SEO on their ecom site. I did it as well. I had 100 products, wrote a 200-300 words product description for each and interlinked to two other products, after that my rankings all went up.

Pro tip: make sure to use longtail keywords in the product description, so u will also get indexed and ranked for them. Also add a sidebar with a unique description about ur product category.

important is also to use canonical links. SEO is much more complex for ecommerce sites.
