Site Structure. Use pages of posts?

So I'm making a review site on wordpress and I am torn between using pages or posts. The way I currently have it is I have a blank page for the drop down menu and more pages under that blank page for the actual content. Should I instead put all these pages into posts?

Lots of people have lots of different opinions on this. The way I do it is this - big sites I use posts, small sites I use pages (when I can be bothered to...).

The biggest headache with pages is there's no set navigation structure to it - you need to sort it out manually via sidebars and drop downs.

To mitigite some of the 'SEO issues' of posts, install Yoasts SEO plugin and use it to disable any archives you don't need.
