I bought a new domain and it's been about 7 days now and it is not indexed.
I know this because I am typing in site:domain.com or "http://domain.com" or "www.domain.com" and any other possible way to search for it...it is not there.
This is not a brand new domain, meaning someone owned it, but it looks like that last time there was ANY content on it was in 2010. It is a local city keyword type domain if anyone cares about that.
I hooked it up in Web Master Tools and there are no errors. I submitted a sitemap and all of that. I have never waited longer than 1 or maybe 2 days to get a site indexed, so I have no idea here.
I have tried all kinds of shit to get it indexed. I tweeted the link, I social bookmarked it a few times, I pinged it, and I ran it through a little indexing network I built a long time ago that is really simple and has always worked.
I have been able to find a few of the links from my efforts pointing AT this domain, but the domain itself...nothing.
I also checked it in Majestic SEO and Ahrefs and there are not any backlinks listed. So if it was penalized or slapped or whatever, I can't see jack shit now. If it was de-indexed by Google wouldn't I see some kind of error in WMT?
Oh yea. It is not only indexed in Yahoo and Bing, but it is already ranking (I know...who cares) so the robots.txt is fine.
Maybe this is normal, but not for me. I've never had this much of a goddamn hassle indexing a site before. Every single thing I have done to get this domain indexed has worked on 100% of my other sites, web 2.0 sites and whatever else I've tried.
I submitted to sites like Stumbleupon, Digg, REddit........NOTHING.
Does anyone have any other suggestions? I'm tired of waiting.
Thanks
