Hey guys, so in the search results above the url, the URL is showing again.

I would like to have the site name show (as it's different) and I even set it properly in WordPress settings.

Is there any way to do this?

The domain isn't related to the new niche so I need the site title to help make users more aware.

Yeah, you can change that — it’s called the “site name” in Google’s search results (instead of showing your raw domain).

Even if you set it in WordPress, Google sometimes ignores it unless you give it clearer signals.
Here’s what usually works for me:
  1. Add structured data – Use WebSite schema and set "name" to your site title and "url" to your homepage.
  2. Check your title – Make sure the homepage title starts with your brand/site name.
  3. Brand signals – Use your site name in your logo alt text, site footer, and social profiles.
  4. Wait for recrawl – After updating, request reindexing in Google Search Console.
This won’t change instantly, but usually within 2–6 weeks Google starts using the site name instead of the URL.

Check your site’s title settings and schema; sometimes a simple metadata or theme issue causes the name not to display.

Hi, what you’re seeing is Google’s decision in how they display search results. Even if you set the site title correctly in WordPress, Google may still choose to show the URL or brand name instead of the site title.

To improve the chances of Google showing your chosen site name, you can:

Make sure your WordPress “Site Title” is set correctly under Settings → General.

Add structured data (JSON-LD “WebSite” with “name” and “alternateName” properties) in your site’s header. Google often uses this to display the preferred site name.

Check your meta title tags – make sure they contain the brand/site name consistently.

In Google Search Console, under Site Settings → Site Name, you can suggest the site name you want shown.
