Site made from scraped forum content

Was on my usual Google train today when I came across this site:

It's a Wordpress blog that seems to have scraped forum posts from BHW as it's only content. Cheeky

At first, I thought this was a stupid idea, as even though the site is getting ranked, it doesn't provide any answers for visitors who will quickly bounce back to google. However, it seems like this site is trying to get ranked for blackhat related terms, and will probably then monetise by selling services/affiliating etc. Cheeky, but effective.

Is it possible that forum scraping is better than article scraping when it comes to fooling Google with duplicate content?

I just checked out the site with some online tools and found this:
You see, It doesn't rank with "Black hat", "Black hat SEO", "Black hat world", "Black hat services".
With ahrefs, it seems all of its backlinks come from a Russian .ru site, and that the site is losing it backlink really fast. He registered the domain in July, now it is near the end of August, but the backlink trend is still going down down and down. The domain itself is 1 years and a couples months old with a PR1.
With all of this data I conclude that this site is a joke. Not to mention that the site was last updated on the 05 of August, which is 20 days ago LOL

See ton of these sites in my niche. They scrape about one paragraph of content and then link to my site, to see full article. They seem to manage to get a decent amount of traffic from longtails but I can't really see it worth your time running such a site.

Tons of such sites are scraping BHW. Some have decent Alexa rankings. One such site was discussed here yesterday, includes everything, even login possibility.

They should be gone in hours/days/weeks probably, depending on how much they piss the administrators off

WP Robot, you can torrent a cracked version off TPB.

This was about a year ago or more though, my info could be wayyy out of date!

If you're truly serious about building up a website network, using scraped content, I would stop screwing around with forums or blogs or articles.

In fact, I would stop screwing around with text content sources.

Instead, I'd focus more of my time on converting video or sound file, website or platform content into text content.

I would then use social media to add some engagement or some variation into the text and then a layer of LSI keywords.

If done right and formatted properly, this can lead to quite a number of backlinks generated which ultimately lead to a nice boost in your search engine rankings.
