Site Lost Rank For All Keywords..Grrrrr!!!!!!!!

I am having this site since 2008. Actually it's a personal blog site and it used to rank for some good keywords. But from 2009 i stopped updating it but sometimes occassionally used to update. Because of it's good ranking on search engline it was able to bring $50 per month from adsense (which doesn't matter) . The blog was hosted on blogger since the beginning.

But since last October 20th, 2010 the traffic just dropped and now its not even ranking for any keywords. So that's why I moved the site from Blogger to Wordpress.

Now the site is getting little traffic from google images and yahoo. But no traffic from google search.. I tried doing my own style linkwheel, blog commenting but still new post don't get index, although the homepage is getting crawled.


Any tips how to fix this google penalty?

Strange no one on BHW talking about it!!!!

So it seems that Google penalized you for not making any updates in your website. I haven't experienced anything similar to any of my other websites, but I always change stuff around (and not touching) my main content about once a month.

I would say that your keywords arent trending engough. maybe search highly visible keywords to rank back up again. Or possible update content that people want to see. Whats the address to your blog?

You could be sandboxed. Most people do a sandbox check with the url typed in search. If it comes up first, they say it is not sandboxed. I don't think that is a really good point to judge sandboxing. Instead - if you have a unique title for your URL - try plugging in the title without quotes in Google. Your site should come up first unless you have a very generic title. If it doesn't you could be in the crapper.

Hey guys...I am adding contents everyday but it seems google penalized my blog badly....No new post getting indexed at all but homepage getting crawled after 4-5 days..

I have a feeling that due to duplicate content my blog faced penalty...because I was having around 190 post on blogspot which I imported on wordpress

so what to do in this situation??

G is a loose cannon firing aimlessly spread shot over genuine sites it sucks!

G kisses the arse of big sites only!

And what sucks more G could not careless about any ordinary site!

Always always always have fresh content. It is one of the key to success.

Well I can say that not updating your site isn't why it's not ranking. I have several self-hosted wordpress blogs ranking #1 that I haven't added posts to in months. However, if I do find my rankings slipping, I will usually add an article to them which helps them out.

But honestly, I'm pretty sure google sort of slapped Blogger blogs this past year. And if you moved everything to a new domain with a 301 redirect, Google is going to think your new site is duplicate which means low rankings.

To fix this, keep adding new unique articles to your site, build some links, change the titles around for your old posts.
