Site Jumped to #3 And I Dont Know Why

I got some niche sporting site. Which is generating some really really nice $$$ during the season...

however, that baby jumped for some 1,3k moneykeyword (!!) to #3 and I dont know why.

traffic is like 5x now. income is increasing....

and I did NOTHING to the site the last months... which kind of pisses me off.

maybe some link pyramid I did? but thats was in january.. :/

hwell, I say thanks to the google gods. I will no pop this baby to #1!!!

hahaha so many bad things happen in SEO despite our best efforts that I would just be glad and say nothin ;)
 
First one to complain about rank increase xD i have couple of shitty sites ranking and some of my best work is still stilling at the 2nd page.

yeah. it pisses me off. I got one site dancing for some 14k (!) moneykeyword (!) between #34-70. and I cant figure out why..
I got some other site sitting on #12 for weks for some 4k (!) moneykeyword fitness. I wont move.

and now I got this and It popped -10 ........ cant believe it. maybe it was that 20$ link pyramid.... I dont know. or one (!) trial pbn post in december. but I doubt both....
 
Hmm, I'd doubt both also. Very strange. How long has it been in this high position?
 
There were some reports in another thread of a possible Google update that happened within the last few days. Maybe you hit the update lotto like a couple of others.

Yeah that was where I was getting at. A lot of people reporting this (although it seems people report these things daily so I'm sceptical) but it could legitimately?

I also noticed an upward movement on most of my sites, even the dead ones suddenly went green yesterday. Big G is up to something..
 
I wouldn't jynx myself lol, but I have a very good site which is difficult to rank for anything, and shitty web 2.0 and PBN sites that are doing a lot better. Google is a fucking mess haha. Time to monetize my PBNs and get money off them too.

"Quality" update for sure. They are probably obfuscating good websites so people stay on their search results longer and click on more ads. Bunch of cunts if you ask me.
 
I wouldn't read too much into it, as sometimes other sites being penalised/deranked have the effect of aiding you. I've gotten used to the ups and downs that is SERP... Google does my head in haha
