My site was hit with a site wide manual action after using a reliable service to build links. All looked good then hit with the dreaded manual action that no one wants to see...

However its not fully de-indexed and just knocked back 3-4 pages.... A friend suggested this is just a warning and should recover but I'm not convinced from reading threads here for years no one has reported this situation.

I know the game and know well enough to just jack the site in and start again but before i do, manual action warnings don't really exist do they where sites recover there ranks without disavow or reconsideration requests do they?

Anyone experienced this?

Donone123, I've been reading replies on a Sales thread and seeing that you purchased the same service as me. I found this pretty alarming. Seeing that you say its "reliable" yet you are penalize from it means to me that you bought your service from a trusted source but got a crappy service.

I received my report and from one look I can already tell that these are not quality links as they have promised. I am planning to bring this up to paypal however I want to be sure if we are on the same page. I think I can't pm yet and I am not sure if you can. If not, probably Skype?

You should be able to PM. DD mentioned back in June that it was set back to 15 posts.

If you want to, you can send me a test PM just to be sure.
It's back to 15 posts after being 50 during the transfer to the new platform. Has been that number for at least 5 years.

You are right! Thanks. I just sent the topic creator a PM. I actually sent you a pm as well for testing.

When it comes to bringing your site back from link spamming the disavow tool on it's own is useless you have to manually get out there and remove them links. Get your provider to get rid of them they put them there in the first place. Then from there on you can start working on a more cleaner link building system.

The problem with this is what if the service provider is not cooperating, there are a bunch of links and from the looks of it. Either they are lazy to change or remove them. Is disavow really that useless? What if someone does a negative SEO on your site.
