Hey guys. My site just got hit. It went from #6 to nowhere. However I have a question to ask though. I have 2 other sites that are doing fine which shares the same hosting server as the one that got hit. My question is should I migrate the 2 other sites to another hosting account? Because I've read somewhere regarding the "bad neighbourhood" but there's not much clarity to the answers I found. And how about domain? I have all the domain under one namecheap account. Sorry I'm a little paranoid at the moment as this is the first time i got hit.

I am pretty sure it's not done by hosting or whois/registar info. I would just sit back and wait, it's too late now anyway.

Moving it now is not gonna do squat. Likely had nothing to do with where it's hosted. More about what links are pointing to the site. You're not gonna stop anything by moving now. Ride the wave. And congrats. You're no longer a virgin! LOL

I am pretty sure Whois has something to do with it, I have just watched 20+ sites get wiped off the same Godaddy account.

Hey thanks man. I guess I'll just have to monitor my 2 other sites. Hopefully they'll escape the update!

Hahaha. Yeah bro no longer a virgin! Damn the feeling sucks though! Thanks for the advice! Ride the lightning!

Ok can you clairfy that please...

I assume you mean you had 20 sites deindexed (part of your PBN)?

Or do you mean that the rankings of 20 sites dropped off the face of the earth and they all had the same whois and were hosted in the same place?

All 20 sites was on the same Godaddy account, none of them had domain privacy, most was churn and burns, several was sites which was barely touched with links. They was all spread across 6 - 7 hosts. The main one, a churn and burn has gone from 3 to page three for its main keyword, and from what I can see all its other keywords, 100 and odd at positions 1 - 5 have been wiped off the face of Google.

Micky Are all your 20 sites linking to another website(in common)?

I guess this update is something to do with the Privately Hosted Tier1 links .

haha Amazing... They were saying this new Penguin will cheer up the webmasters. Another lie by Google.

No the main thing they have in common is they are all on the same Godaddy account, most of them have links from my network of sites, which all have domain privacy, an most are on separate shared hosting.
