My site is on 2nd spot on Google search for my main keyword. I had this position for more than 6 months. Now my site is disappearing from google results (not top 300) for a day or two. Then it comes back(2nd spot) for one or two days. My site is white hat, it is indexed and i didn't make any major modification lately. Does anyone knows why is this happening?

Its called google dance.
When google changes algorithms or runs the spam filters it affects the search results for some time.
If your website jumped back up than you are ok.

Did you look if you had any new links like negative SEO type?
How long does it take, it's already the 2nd week

I believe, it is because of Google Dance, sometimes you ranked #2, then after a week it is disappear from top 100, then one day you find your website dramatically rank on #1
