Site Disappeared off Google for Main KW

I recently started ranking a site (by recently I mean around 4 days ago) for an very low competition keyword and was on page 4/5 of Google today. However, my site now seems to have disappeared off Google for my main KW and I can't find it at all. I read something about "Google Dance" and I am not sure if this has anything to do with it, or if it's something to do with a new site. Any help would be much appreciated!

Oh just as an edit I don't think I've been sandboxed because if I do "insite:site" I can find it, and if I put my keyword in in quotes it's on the first page.

Far to early to get worried. It wouldn't be unusual to see your site dancing in and out of the rankings for many weeks to come, let alone the first few days.

Thanks a lot! Thought that was the case but wasn't too sure. Is it common for it to appear at a higher ranking when it returns?

All else being equal (ie, competitors haven't built more backlinks, and the ones you built remain strong and steady) I ordinarily find that it ranks back to where it was, if not higher, in most cases. The worst thing you could do right now is take action one way or another - just leave it, and let it do it's thing.
 
I would be worried after a year but not the first week, or month to that fact.

Just let your website dance and settle in to a healthy position.

The Google dance can be pretty scary when you are starting out. Just leave and and stop looking at the rankings for a while. Keep building links and check back once in awhile.

I used to check my rankings obsessively. It does get kinda exciting to be honest.

Just let your links do the work. :)
 
I am not a SEO expert just someone who utilizes there services! From my experience with my new website just 4 months old I became a fanic in learning how to do SEO thats how I found this BHW on Google. I leave the SEO up to the pros and help out by writing articles doing Social media which in only 4 months got me to the 2nd of the bottom of the first page on Google about 3 days ago. Will I stay hopefully but the dance happens alot just keep do ing good things and over time you will settle.

My Keywords were for local - Very Very Competitive
 
Slow and steady wins the race these days. Black hatters hate to hear it cause they want overnight miracles, but it's extremely difficult these days. You really gotta have a big budget and be testing a lot of methods while experiencing a lot of failure to figure it out.
